How much time to allow for breakfast at Crystal Palace

Hello, This will be our first Disney World trip! We have an 8:20 reservation at Crystal Palace. The park opens at 9:00. Will we have enough time to be seated and eat before the park opens? (I also have multiple food allergies.) I don't want to miss any time exploring the Magic Kingdom. Thanks!

The answer is maybe. All of our character meals took 45 minutes to an hour, but sometimes they can take up to 90 minutes.

Arrive at MK by 7:30am so that you are in a good line position to enter at 7:45am and get seated quickly at CP.

Depends on your goals! My husband and I had a pre-park reservation 20 min before park opened. We are 2 adults and didn't care about seeing Pooh. We got there a few minutes early and were seated immediately. We made a large plate of food each and asked for the bill as soon as we saw the waitress. Paid with our dining plan and got out and were in our 1st line before the park opened.
With that said my husband is a Marine and was raised with 3 brothers so he eats very fast anyways. I tend to eat quickly when I'm with him because I feel bad looking at him just watch me eat. If you have little ones that eat slowly and like to talk a lot it may not be possible for you.

@Shoshannah - Yes. Even though your ADR is 8:20am, they (generally) seat in order of arrival. The characters won't start rounding until after 8am, probably closer to 8:15am.

Thank you all so much! I can't wait! The characters won't be too important since it's myself and my daughters (21 & 18). My eldest though is really into architecture and really wanted to see this restaurant because of that.

We've had the 8:15 and the 8:25 slot before...usually check in between 8 and 8:10am...seated fairly quickly. Beyond that, it depends on you.

We used to be able to finish up before 9 and see all of the characters, but on our last two visits, the timing of the rotations were way off and would have made it impossible to see all of the characters without sitting there for at least 75-90 min. We've done this one enough times that we just leave when we're done eating and don't NEED to see all of them, BUT...considering you're paying so much more b/c it's a character meal...it bugs me when the character rotations are run inefficiently.

Ultimately, if you don't care too much about meeting all of the characters, you should have no problem making it out by 9am. Just remember that everyone is being let in by about 8:45am when it's a 9am opening.

We were the first seated and it still took about a little over an hour. Depends on where you are seated and where the characters are. We had to wait on Tigger but he was completely worth it.

Also depends on your allergies. Will you eat off of the buffet or will you need fresh food from the kitchen? Remember that will take a bit more time. We have eaten there multi pal times and they do tend to do pretty good sitting on time but you can not always count on that. BTW---They are great with allergies and we really enjoyed every meal we have ever had there. We tend to spend about 90 minutes there but we wait to see all the characters and enjoy our time and occasionally need a special safe food from the kitchen. Ask for your check as you are seated to save that time later. Personally, with the cost of the meal, I would not rush through in under an hour but it probably can be done in just under an hour or so.

Of course it also depends on how much and how fast you want to eat. We have only done dinner at CP and we have never had great luck with being seated before our time even when arriving early. I can't speak to how busy breakfast is though. Good luck.

With your multiple allergies, I don't think you will get out that quickly and you shouldn't be stuck eating just a couple of eggs. Make sure to contact special diets to help with your concerns and a chef will come out to help you with what you can and can't eat or possibly make something special for you. Just because it's your first trip, remember to enjoy it all, including the opportunity to eat out in a safe environment.

As for question of how long, we usually take anywhere from an hour to hour and a half at a character meal.

We can be in and out of there in half an hour or less, since we no longer have interest in meeting the characters. If that's your situation too, go ahead and ask for the check when your server gets your drink order and you can be in and out of there in a jiffy.
