Since this has to do with dining I put it under here, but I guess this could go under transporation to. But anyways from AKL to one of the monorail resorts how much time should I allow to get there? Would an hr do? Or should I allow hr and half just incase we have to wait forever for a monorail. Im trying to shoot to have breakfast in those resorts about an hr before MK opens. We would bascially get on a bus from AKL to MK and then take the monorail from MK to one of the resorts. Also for Ohanas, chef mickeys, donalds in AK and bomas how much time should we allow to eat?

I allowed an hour in March and it turns out the driver drove us straight to Poly for breakfast at Kona Cafe. We didn't even have to go to MK.. So, plan on at least and hour.

I have not stayed at AK but have stayed at BW and traveled to the MK hotels. I believe one hour should be enough time. The monorails run fairly often and are very quick to get you to the hotels. Also our sit down dinners such as Chef Mickey's , Kona's, and Donald's in AK, etc... were at least 1.5 hours long. Hope this helps!

Last time I was there we stayed at the GF (2003) and whenever we left either MK or Epcot it seemed to take 4ever for another monorail to come. We waited for like 20 mins each time. But once we were on the monorail, it didnt take long to get to the resorts. Have things changed, are they quicker now and come more often?

I have always been told by the CM's when I booked to plan on an hour if using WDW transportation. I have found that information to be correct.

Probably a stupid question but, what is the quickest way to get from All Star Movies to the Contemporary for my ADR at Chef Mickey's?

Quickest we've ever been able to manage was 50 minutes from leaving the hotel room to walking into the restaurant. (CSR to Citricos or Artist Point).

Pooh_Friend, take the bus to MK, then either walk across the street to the Contemporary or take the monorail, CR is the first stop. I've never walked it, but it always looks to be a pretty short walk (maybe 10 minutes at the longest?)

We use cabs for this - a cabride tends to run us around $15 and can get you pretty much anywhere in 15 minutes (if you are going to the MK, have the cab take you to the Contemporary and walk). I really don't want to spend an hour on the bus when I could be sleeping in the morning.....
