How much time on internet?

How much time will you, or did you, spend on the internet while cruising? I might check email one time, or send a group message to friends (that I will probably write ahead of time). I am a board junkie and spend hours on the internet every day, but I cannot imagine spending my cruise surfing the internet. Although it is helpful, it always blows my mind to see people posting here live from the ships, or to know that people buy the internet package for other than work purposes.

I plan to avoid it completely! I am a web junkie too but am looking forward to being totally "out of touch" (especially with the office!) and on VACATION! HOORAY! :teleport:

Yep, I spend at least an hour a day on the web. And thouroughly enjoyed NOT using the Internet for my week on the Magic.

I usually don't get to spend that much time on the internet during the week as I have zero access at work.

Been on 6 cruises now. Always get the unlimited package and do wind up spending some downtime, usually in the mornings wandering the net and keeping in touch with people. With the addition of the adult only teminals at the Cove Cafe, it's even easier now.

It's really to each their own. I'm personally boggled by the people who can spend all day on loungers on deck 10.

We were so busy I found just 15 minutes to sit in a lounger, and never found time to swim on board. Too many shows, movies, Trivia contests wine tasting and meals to go to.

Never even sat down at the computers on our 7 night...there was just to many other things to be doing...and hey the dis boards were still there when I got back home. :D ...In other words I didn't need my dis fix while onboard. :earboy2:

The only reason I used the internet last time was they offered it for $39 and I had a $300 shipboards credit because we were on the shortened hurricane Jeanne cruise. It was nice to be able to check on things and to post live reports, but I probably won't use it on future trips.

Ditto! It's a vacation....and sometimes it's good to be out of touch!

I'm an early riser. I like to head to the Cove Cafe when it opens, get my cappucino and spend a bit of time checking in on the 'net. My "kids" are older and I like to keep in touch with them.

And then there are those pesky cruise fantatics on the DIS who always want to know what's going on. ;) :teeth:

I know how much I enjoy the "live" reports and it's fun to be on the "giving" end. :boat:

Same here.

Ok, They'll make anybody a Webmaster now won't they? :earboy2: Congrats!

I got the unlimited package for the 10 night holiday cruise so I could keep in touch with my family. We are close and the internet connection made the separation easier. I did not surf or post live, just email to loved ones.

The beauty of a DCL vacation is that there are plenty of options and you can do the things that interest you. Personally, I can't imagine spending my cruise sitting by the pool, but apparently some people enjoy that. :)
