How much time in each park?

We will be in "The World" for 7 1/2 days (Spending 1/2 day at the beach) with a park hopper option. We want to go to MK, AK, Epcot, and Disney Studios.

So my question is, how much time should we spend in each park? My original thought is to spend one day at AK and one day at Disney Studios, and two each at MK & Epcot, but that still leaves us an extra day and a half. Also, with all this extra time, how do we split up the parks so that we actually use the park hopper option?

I know there will be tons to see, but not much of our time will be taken up with thrill rides as I'm the only one that enjoys that stuff.

Thoughts?

We usually will hit all the parks on consecutive days, then enjoy a pool/lounge around/shop at DTD day, then hit the stuff at the parks we either missed or want to see/do again.

It is tough to dictate how much time for any family to spend at any park.....I would be more than happy with 1/2 day at DHS and then 1 1/2 days at AK....but that wouldn't go for many folks out there!

For starters, there are probably fewer thrill rides than you think. But there's tons to see and do, and if your daughter is anything like mine, you'll end up doing some things more than once. (We rode the Magic Carpet ride at least a bazillion times!!!)

The park hopper is great because it gives you flexibility. So when our day at Animal Kingdom got rained (no, make that "monsooned") out, we went back to our resort, changed, and spent the rest of the day at Epcot-- it has a lot more indoor attractions. We also planned several dinners at Epcot, without needing to plan our days around those dinner reservations.

Try to give yourself a morning off in the middle-- sleep in and let your daughter enjoy the pool. You can also do a bit of laundry that morning if the thought appeals to you.

How much time you spend at each park depends on your family. My kids LOVE MK the most so we spend the morning hitting another park then go to our room to rest a bit and refresh and then hop to MK for the rest of the day. I LOVE DISNEY, but really, how many times can your ride Buzz Lightyear before he looses his appeal? There are tons of shows and charater greets to take advantage of and don't forget all the parades! If you haven't read a Disney travel book, you should. It will give you a good idea of exactly how many rides and shows are available to you and give you a pretty good idea of what your family will like so you can judge about how much time you'll spend in the park. We also like to use the last day hitting our favorite rides since we don't know when we will get back again. Your are going to have an awesome trip!
