How much time from Universal to Six Flags MM

We will be staying at Universal Studios and want to go to SFMM for part of a day. We plan on going on a July Thursday or Friday morning around 9:00. Roughly how long might it take to get from Universal area to SFMM?

It would be about 45 minutes with no traffic at all, but leaving on a weekday at 9:00 AM could bump it up to 90 minutes or so.

From Universal Studios to Six Flags is 27.3 miles according to Google Maps. Leaving in the morning, you'll be going against traffic and should have pretty smooth sailing. Commuters are leaving their homes in the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita Valley (where SFMM is located) and coming south on the I-5 towards Los Angeles. Luckily for you, you're headed away from downtown and Hollywood and doing the opposite from most commuters. It should take about 30-35 minutes. There's always a chance you'll run into traffic from an accident, but even in that case, your drive should be under an hour.
