The wife and I will be there for the AP passholder preview. We are not huge fans of star wars, we enjoy it but aren't die hards by any means. Our time slot is from 5-9 P.M. the same night as a Halloween Party (which we are huge fans of). For those of you that have seen it, if we spend 2 hours at SWGE then dip out for the halloween party at Magic Kingdom will we see most of what we may want too? (basically Smugglers Run and Ogas Cantina and touring the grounds a little)

TIA!

APs are reporting they were allowed early entry so stop by SWGE at 4:00p to see if you’ll be allowed in. Get your Oga’s time, ride MFSR, and explore for a bit.

You may as well try the blue and green milk to take advantage of the short lines at the Milk Stand.

You’ll be able to leave before 7p.

Thanks for the info! We are definitely planning on trying the milk, although I've heard mixed reviews on both flavors, cant wait to try them myself though! We are going down just for SWGE but we just cant pass up on a Halloween Party!

We did SWGE in Disneyland for the first time two days ago. I looked at our pictures timestamps and we were there exactly two hours! We bought some Batu coins (gift cards), took many pictures, each had a drink at Oga Cantina (Fuzzy Tauntaun, Outer Rim, Blue Bantha and Jabba Juice), listened to DJ Rex, tried the bathrooms and drove the Millennium Falcon (Smuggler Run) that had a posted wait of 45 minutes. Enjoy!

Thank you for this! I have been going back and forth with myself all day about ducking out early since the whole reason we are going is for SWGE but I just couldn't see us spending 4 hours there. Sounds like you accomplished everything we intend too! Thanks for the detailed rundown as well! Just bought our halloween party tix! Cant wait for both!

We took 4 hours on Saturday (12:30-4:30)

Oga Cantina (each had 2 drinks and its a wait to get them so order them all at once), 3 rides on Millennium Falcon, tried both milks, walked through the shops and tried the wrap and popcorn for 15 minutes.

We didn't rush at all and we got lucky on our wait times for the ride. 30 minutes (posted 55), 20 minutes (posted 35) and 15 minutes (posted 25).

Saying that I think you could easily finish in 2 hours if you stuck to the Cantina and 1-2 rides max. The wait at the bar was long. We had a standing room spot and they squeezed in 12 of us on it with one waitress who worked other spots as well.

When we entered at 12:30 we got our card for the Cantina and it was at 12:45 so you have to factor in you don't know what time they will give you for the Cantina as well.

Would you recommend one full day or two separate half days for SWGE?
Unless the lineups are huge or the goal is to carefully examine every single artefacts and merchandise, redo rides over and over, have three drinks at Oga in series, do light saber and droid, I cannot imagine spending a full day in SWGE. I would definitively try to spend time during the day and time at night, the ambience is different.
