Taking out the cost of soveniers, what do you think a single mum and her 14 yr old daughter could expect to spend on a 4 day Wonder cruise including photos,soda's, tips and anything else apart fom souveniers.
We are not getting off the ship in Nassau as we have seen it before on a different holiday, but we will be going to Castaway Cay.

I would be grateful for any feedback regarding things I will be spending my money on as I have another 7 days in wdw to budget for after the cruise.

I don't know if this will help -- but on the 7-day Eastern Cruise, we spent about $1,000 onboard. However, that included four shore excursions, several games of bingo, cocktails, spa treatments and souvenirs. And there were three of us -- including a 15-year-old. We spent very little on Castaway Cay -- we rented the $6.00 float and rented bikes. The food is provided.

If you like soda, by the soda card or bring your own onboard. Juice, coffee, tea and water are provided on Deck 9's beverage station.

They have a lot of wonderful shops on the ship -- but most of the stuff is not in our price range. We don't buy t-shirts and such, but did indulge in a model of the ship (great souvenir), which the Captain will sign at his autograph session. We bought a photo album and postcards.

I think besides the shore excursions, the most expensive purchase on the ship itself are the pictures. If you think you will want to buy a lot of the ones taken by the professional photographers, go to Shutters on your first night and buy the package deal. It saves you about $14 or more in the end. I didn't because I thought we'd never buy that many pictures, but then we did. And you cannot purchase it later.

Your final payment onboard can be made by traveller's checks, credit cards and personal check. Which worked great for us since our payday occurred while we were onboard, so I made our final payment by check and it didn't take anything out of our WDW budget.

Have fun!!!!:earseek: ::yes::

We just got home. We did the land and sea, but spent 4 days on the Wonder. We spent almost 600.00 on board. We both drank alcohol of some sort everyday, and I bought souvenirs for myself and my kids, and the MIL's. I also used the internet cafe to email my SIL, since she was taking care of my baby. We were pleasantly surprised at our bill.
Have a great time!!

On our 3 day Wonder cruise in 7/03 we spent a total onboard of $520.54. There were 2 adults and 1 child. These purchases included excursions, drinks, drinks package, picture package, and souveniers. We are budgeting about $1500 for our next 7 day cruise, but that includes the price of the rental car and my tux rental, and there will be 2 adults and 2 children.

Thanks to all who replied. I hope I did not sound like a cheap skate but I just wanted to ensure I took enough money to have a good time on the cruise as well as having some left over to enjoy our week after at WDW.
