How much land do you have for your home, and how much do you wish you had?

I have 0.17 acres. My plot of land is 120 by 65. The house is 70 by 55. There is 10 feet between my house and the one on each side (5 feet mine, 5 feet theirs) and I have about 30 feet to the street and 20 feet to the bushes that define the border between my house and the one behind.

What is even better is that the Association handles all landscape maintenance, including mowing the lawns.
Now that sounds perfect to me.

I guess we have about 1/3 acre in Little Rock (way too much) - but I have zero (high rise) in New Orleans. I am lucky to have a 5'x5' balcony in New Orleans.

I have ZERO interest in yard work, gardening, etc.

i have about a 3'x6' balcony outside my 750sq' apartment. ;)

We have an acre here and a little over an acre at our new house.

The new house has woods in the back and I can't believe how much I like them. My DH is in Heaven in those woods. He's already got paths, has build some benches, planted more stuff (and ivy). He'd be happy with about 5 acres but would probably love 25 or 100!

We have a big EX-Mark mower that gets the job done very quickly at our house now. At the new house, we'll have less yard because of the woods.

ours is about 33 feet by 125 feet = 4125 sq. ft. about 0.09 acres hehehe

It is a townhouse.

I would be happy with something about 300-500 feet long. so the dogs could really stretch their leggs.

I live in a condo with a tiny lawn, but a gi-normous portion of land with a creek behind the house. I love watching the HOA maintain the property:)

We have 3 acres, and back up to a 4 acre pond that we share with 4 other neighbors. I love the pond, and could do with less acreage. Because we have a well/septic field, one acre is open grass, which needs frequent mowing, aghhh!! I would have a hard time living way out in the country on 10 acres! I need other people around.

I have a roof. No land.

I would love a yard. Someday...

We have 5 acres that my parents deeded to us. It is part of the total 20 acres that they originally owned. My sis has 5 acres of it too. DH would like to purchase the 5-10 acres that joins our land, but the people won't sell. He would like to have some cows.

60 feet x 110 feet, pretty average lot size here. The biggest lot in my town would probably be double, but there's not many. Of course, I'd like more, but I don't want to move - I like to be close to civilization! :thumbsup2

We have almost 3 acres on the side of a mountain. The appalachain trail runs right behind our house but far enough away that we aren't bothered by hikers. Our land is mostly wooded with about 3/4 acre of lawn. It's pretty hilly and the driveway is a monster but it's perfect for us :goodvibes

Oh and you want streams, lakes and ponds? We got 'em :yay:

We hardly have any land right now. We used to have 4 acres. It was way too much to mow and I had to tick search my kids all the time because we lived really close to the woods. I hated it though I did love the privacy of our lot.

We have two acres on the outskirts of a small town. LOVE the privacy! Our closest neighbor is across the highway and they like to be left alone just like we do. :thumbsup2

This time of year we regularly see deer, Orioles, Hummingbirds, Groundhogs, and many other types of wildlife in our yard. Makes for some interesting pictures! :)

25 acres. Non tillable. Mostly timber.
DH mows probably 3 or 4 of it. He's crazy ;) but it looks nice when he is done.

He loves it. I don't know if I have ever seen the back property line:confused3
I don't go to the timber. I stay up by the house.

We have a sizable home in the country on 3.5 wooded acres w/a running stream, where we enjoy the serenity and wildlife. Loved it when we were raising a family, but as seniors it's a tad bit much to take care of now. :goodvibes

I have 1.5 acres, most of it manicured (but not well, lol) fronted by a private spring-fed pond and backed by 20 acres of conservation land. Even the 1.5 is too much for me to care for by myself ~ the goal is to sell the property and move into a small shack near the beach once DD graduates from high school. I think sea grass might be easier to take care of:rotfl:

Dh and his 3 brothers have 500 acres upstate new york. They loves fishing, hunting and riding on the quads. I think its the he man woman haters club, no shower, no bathroom but a outhouse! yuk. they do that on purpose to keep the wives home! My dh and ds could live there, they love it, dd an i prefer the beach!
