How much is your cell phone bill? Do you do mo. pay for each phone?

Maybe I haven't been in an area with so few cell towers that priority is an issue. But your post I originally responded to basically said ST was a poor option unless you live in a "very urban area." That's simply untrue.
It is it the tri-state area here. there are only a few urban areas where it works well. Outside that, its spotty at best, and drops off quickly once you leave the city.

I'm not sure what the tri state area is. It has different meanings to different people. I grew up in CT and the tri-state area for me was CT/NY/NJ.

Again, I think your experience is an outlier and switching to straight talk isn't very risky since there is really no commitment. There are lots of us on here that use ST in not very urban areas with no issues.

I have AT&T.. 3 iPhones .. I finally gave up my grandfathered unlimited. DD had 3gb and DH had 2gb. I paid $176 after a 22% discount. DD kept getting close so I called the retentions department to see what they were offering.

I took the mobile share value plan $100 for 20gb with rollover data. $15 for each line out of contract and $40 for DDs, her contract ends 9-17
They got me out of DDs contract for $50 instead of $185 by selling me a flip phone, waived her $20 "upgrade" fee, gave me 1gb Canada roaming bonus on each line.
Wished I made that call years ago.
New bill is $123 plus tax 3 lines 20gb shared

Probably not very relevant as I'm in the UK but I bought my IPhone SE outright in September for £400 and now I pay £20pm with giffgaff for unlimited internet, calls and texts. Probably going to change it to £18 as I now have wifi in my room. And don't need the unlimited internet.

Pay as you go cell phones are crazy cheap in the UK. DD went to school in Leeds 2013-2014 and you have cheap entry level smart phones that we don't have in the U.S.

Yup you can get some really good cheap deals. I think it's just because we have so much choice. I remember when I was working at Disney and I needed a phone sim card and being amazed that there was only about 3 companies! In UK there's loads more.

4 of us just signed up for Sprint Unlimited Freedome $100 for 4 unlimited everything. B1G1 Galaxy S7 so $695 for both phones and 2 free Samsung J3s. It's a promo plan 2 for $100 and 3rd 4th and 5th lines free....in Jan 2018 we will have to pay for 3rd and 4th line $30 each line.
