How Much is your 2015 Vacation going to cost you?

This was a last minute trip for dh and I. We just got back from a 24 day European tour and I was feeling sorry for myself at having to come back to work. Only Disney Magic can make me feel better ;)

2 adults, Sept 19-Nov 5
MYW 6 nights staying at CBR King room $2258
RT air from StL (haven't purchased yet) $700
estimate food (F&W + tips from DDP) $480

Total close to $3500. Didn't figure in souvenirs or cost to board dogs.......

£13,000. 15 nights one bed villa at OKW with regular dining plan, 4 nights Club Level at the Hard Rock Hotel, 7 seater SUV for 20 days, four premium return flights (direct) from Manchester UK to Orlando International, 14 day Disney ultimate tickets, 14 day Universal park to park tickets and Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil tickets for 4. Feel a bit sick now I've added it all up...... Without the flights 7k.

June 2015-Summer discount 30% off
Boardwalk Inn-standard view
7 nights
6 day base tickets
2 adults
1 Disney adult-12
1 child-8

$3750

We are driving from Michigan and stopping other places, so this is only the Disney part of the trip and only includes price of package. No food.

:cool1: I figured it was time to start a new thread....based on that other favorite 'vacation 2014':cool1: Let's start the new year!
( I like to add 'soup to nuts' to get the total overall cost):)
I will start.... Right now plans are for January 2015 (end of month)
Myself and Ds2 and my Dsis share a room at AsMU for 4 nights (touring with other family) and then meet DH and DS1 and stay at Dolphin for 8 nights:thumbsup2
I have 5 day hoppers, I need to upgrade 2 tix to 10 day when we arrive
Dining will be OOP;)- have a set amount budgeted in
waiting to see if WDW has room discounts for then, but so far my total is :cheer2:2980.00-:cheer2: This breaks down overall to approx. 62.00 per person, per day.all in:dance3:
this includes parking at airport when DH comes down, plus dogsitting for that week. I may add more and visit Universal also, which will add quite a bit
Anyone else ready to do this?:beach:
I'm an annual pass holder. So if I counted our passes. Then our hotel room stay and food for the year. It would be crazy. But all worth it.

9 nights Wilderness Lodge in September...with park hoppers and FREE Dining...4700.00....used our SWA points for the flights. So, its 4700 plus t-shirts and massages and tips

Granted I'm not staying on site, I just found this by chance, but:

10 nights lodging in June at Glenbrook resort in a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house with games room and private pool: $800
Groceries for family of 4 for 10 days: $200
3 ADRs (CRT, HDDR & TH): $625
6 day tickets (base): $1340
Cost to get to Florida (driving from Canada, 2 nights/3 days each way, including lodging, gas, tolls, meals): $900

Total: $3865

However, it's actually less than that, as we are sharing the house with my in-laws, so our cost of the lodging is actually only $400, so $3465 total.
We wanted to stay on site, but even pricing at a Value resort with the sale, we saved well over $2000 by staying off-site (between savings on lodging, meal plan and yes, that factors in what we have to pay for Magic Bands and parking). Now if we could have gotten free dining, then we likely would have stayed on site.

Started at $1600 for 4 nights at CSR with free dining Nov 11-15. But I added Memory Maker once my mom said she'd be joining us and after seeing air prices I added a day before and day after our trip so we would save on airfare. First night I couldn't get CSR so we are doing AKL for one day with savannah view, but no park tickets. So now we're at about $2200 :-O

2A, 1 Disney Adult, and 2 kids
8 nights at POR
5 day base tickets with 1 bonus day for dq, or waterpark
$2,683.07 (less $377 from remaining gc from trip 2 years ago)

2 nights at Universal RPR
2 day park-to-park tickets for 5
$1,436.27

Direct flights for 5
$1,279.86

Total $5,022.20 - but we have enough in credit card points to cover roughly $3,000 so our oop is about $2,000 plus food. We're not big on souvenirs.

November 13-22
2 adults, 2 children
9 nights @ CSR, 8 day PH + WPF&M passes, free dining, memory maker
$3,925.80
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party- $304.60
Gas- around $400
Tips- around $300ish
Spending money- around $1,000

We should come in under $6,000 total.

July 10-13 at POR $1250 including direct flights for 2 from MSP. We have AP, so no additional ticket costs. Food will be about $300?

A short trip, but it is our third so far in 2015.

8 nights at CSR (flying in at night).
8 day MYW w/PH
Flights - FREE (woohoo, Capital One!)
$2,941.54.

We'll probably add Memory Maker for $169.

This doesn't include food. Planning on bringing breakfast down, along with $1100 of Gift Cards bought at Target.

.....and we're off again! when I started this thread I was planning a mid winter trip..... now we have decided to go again (to Florida) in 2015, and not travel mid winter this time! So technically 2 trips in one year, but this upcoming 2015 trip will take the place of a winter 2016 trip.....( if only I had planned this out last year I could have gone the Ap route to save $) anyway copied from another thread....
calculating cost can be somewhat different depending on how you view each purchase,or savings.:thumbsup2 For instance that 'free' $80 in GC from the Sams club deal I will apply to my food budget for this trip:thumbsup2That said I have an outline or general plan for a Fl trip this upcoming year.........
my plans so far include airfare for 4 using SWA, points and companion pass
$44.80 for tax and fees (actual cost $1400.80)
5 nites at a FL beach on a gulf coast island, using points+cash $288.00
(actual rack rates incl. tax $1598.00)
Rental car for 5 days- (approx $200.00,it will be less later on)
7 nites at Dolphin hotel onsite-points plus cash including resort fees is $700.00(note this may drop by $75 before I go, we shall see) (it dropped by 75.00,so I'm happy-change noted below)
(actual rack rates 2926.00 for my dates)
food budget is $100 per day ,so plan $1300 for food for 13 days, but this will likely be much less, and I plan to save at least 5% by using gift cards for food(and 480 gc cash card) so planning oop for food actual cost around $1100 overall(wish I qualified to TIW)
Tickets for 3 $840.00 (going with a group and special rate) for 7 day hopper plusWP tix
(actual full cost is 1357.89) (pps,4th person buys own ticket to park so not in my budget line)
So.....Full retail or Rack rate cost for my trip is 8782.69 :scared1::sick::faint:
Planned cost (some things will drop before I go)
2397.80:cool1::jumping1::bounce: for 13 nights ! That's over 6300.00 saved!
(note...will continue to do erewards, etc for various savings till my trip to further reduce spending, but this is a rough outline for now)

why 28 days worth of tickets? I can imaging SOME overlap, but 14 days per park when you are goong to be there 19 days seems a stretch.....

UK tickets work differently to US ones and this works out cheaper than just getting four day tickets for Universal. We can get tickets that aren't available in the USA. That's why. Of course it also gives us the flexibility to go where we want in either Universal or Disney for the last 9 days of the Universal tickets and the first 9 days of the Disney ones.

Just curious about all those zeros..... how did you get that?:jumping1:

We bought the annual passes this May so those are paid for. I suppose I should ammotize the total spend over the three trips I hope to get in while they are current but I didn't because as far as the December vacation there is no actual money outlay to be made. The one bedroom at OKW is courtesy of my mother who is very generous to her favorite son :-) and her two youngest grandchildren with her DVC points. I'm actually hoping that gas will be closer to $100 but prices seem to be on the rise. We'll make a trip to Winn Dixie when we get there and stock the fridge to cut down on food costs. Then we will have extra for souveniers, cream cheese pretzels, margaritas from La Cava, Grey Goose slushes, Mickey Ice Cream bars and dole whips!
