My DH birthday is on June 12, which is a Fri. So we can get the 1 day 1park ticket or a GC of equal value is that correct? I saw on DL.com that the ticket was $69. Is that the same value as the gift card? I'm just double checking because I'm debating if it's worth going that week 6/11-16 or if I should wait until the week after when everything is supposed to be up and running...I know; I'm indecisive!:rolleyes1

Yes, the birthday fun card is $69, the same value as one day/one park admission.

Thanks Sherwin!

And my next question, can they be spent in any store or restaurant that accepts GCs and CCs?

It cannot be used on dining or any non-Disney owned merchant. There is a list somewhere. I will try to bump it.

Thanks Sherwin!

No. The exact details are here.

In short, merchandise at Disney-owned shops (for example, NOT the Crystal Shop), food merchandise (ex: packaged candy is ok, dinner at the Blue Bayou is not), ticket media (for example, put it towards upgrading to an AP), PhotoPass, and tours.

It's $69 for adults and $59 for kids. So this year our family will all get $69! :) Just to clarify, you will get $69 free dollars to spend. :) Have fun. You can use the card in most stores and in World of Disney in DTD but you cannot use it at restaurants. You can buy prepackaged food (ie candy, pasta etc) but not food from restaurants. :)

Seeing multiple threads again on this subject. Not good - can only lead to erroneous or incomplete information being given

All the answers are here. Regardless of who started the thread, it would be great if it was made sticky.

It would be great if it was a sticky but they haven't deemed it worthy at this time. Unfortunately we can't really force that. :) I only give my personal experience on threads like this so the information I have is what worked when we were there in Jan. for a bday just a week after this promo started. :)
