How much is it worth? Big Figure: Lady & The Tramp

So, my mom collects Lady & The Tramp figurines, she found this Big Figure at a local market and bought it for $250. The lady said it was worth $1,000, which I highly doubt, but I can't find any information on how much it might be worth. There were only ~550 of them made, so it seems like it should be worth something.

Since I'm new, I can't post links or images, but you can find it by searching "lady and the tramp big fig" in Google. It's the 6th image in the image results, with Tramp's paw around Lady's shoulder.

Anyone have any idea what this sort of thing goes for? My mom's not selling, but she wants to see if she got a good deal.

Retail price was $175 - so $250 today seems reasonable - does it actually say limited edition of 550 of the bottom of the piece? A lot of people confuse the edition size with the carton # that is on the box which is completely different.

I'm not 100% sure of the # of figures made. I actually saw the count on an image while doing some research. We don't have the box it came in, sadly. But it seems like it should have sold for more than $175 when it came out, since it's a "big fig" and I just bought her a "medium figure" for $169 last year at DL.

If I could find out more info about this item, I'd love that! My mom is beside herself happy with the find, and it's a gorgeous piece, so even if it's only worth what she paid, that's still a win.
