72.9 cents/liter Canadian. Don't feel like converting it from liters to gallons and Canadian dollars to US dollars!
Okay okay... 1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liters, so we'd need to buy 3.78 liters to get the equivalent of 1 gallon.
Therefore, in Canadian dollars, our price of gas in gallons is:
($.729 * 3.7854118) = $2.76/gallon Canadian.
Assuming that the currency exchange rate would hold true for gas prices, and they would be less in the US due to the difference in currency.... $2.76/gallon Canadian = $2.06/gallon US (using the current Bank of Canada exchange rates).
So.... my final answer, LOL.... is $2.75/gallon Canadian or $2.06/gallon US
Reg unleaded here is anywhere from $1.51 to $1.67. And of course I need gas and will get it tomorrow, probably at $1.75 or more per gallon, the way prices are going up
Yesterday driving through Alma I saw it was $1.57/gallon for regular unleaded. We went to Mt. Pleasant (a 15-minute drive north) and it was $1.77 so we did our shopping then stopped back in Alma, it was still $1.57 but when I went in to pay I saw someone changing the sign outside, up to $1.77!! I checked my slip and I did pay $1.57 but I bet the person behind me paid $1.77.
Gosh, I can remember the "good old days" in the early 70's when we could get 4-5 gallons of gas for ONE DOLLAR!!!! We could cruise town all night on 50 cents worth!!!!
