What range do the prices for the entrees run at ... have checked out Emeril's website but no prices for any of the menu items ... just wanted to know if it was worth the price of going there ...

We ate lunch there and both had soup, entrees, and cokes it was $80. Would we eat there again? NO way! It's not the cost that was the factor in that answer it was the food. It was way to complicated for our palette. I did'nt enjoy the meal at all! I left feeling as though, what's all the hype about? I don't mind paying for a great meal and great service. We go to Ruth's Chris often and it's always $100! And I leave happy and always excited to return. Emerils was my biggest disappointment in resterant choices from our trip in July. I was so looking forward to it after all the hype on the boards but it was a huge MISS for me and my husband. I'm prob. the only one here that hated it so you'll have to make up your own mind. I'll suggest if you look at the menu and it takes you more than two minutes to pick out something you may want to think twice. We sat there for over 5 minutes and tried to go with sure bets and we missed big time. The portions are small and they sauces are not well matched to the meals in IMHO>.

For a party of four...our lunch was around $120 and worth every penny.

For dinner for the two of us...I think we ran around $300, but, we had the digustation..the special meal prepared for you by the cook with the wine pairings...also worth every penny.

We loved it. The food is wonderful, the service is outstanding...we would do it again in a heartbeat. If you are even thinking about it...make a reservation asap..as they fill up very quickly.

Definately a treat!

We went there for lunch and just loved it. The food was just amazing, and so was the service. It was a little on the expensive side but well worth the money. I would recommend it to anyone.

Thanks everyone for the feedback :) , especially for the link to the menu prices Mad4WDW :p ... we're looking for a special place where we could celebrate our anniversary and my brother's honeymoon while we were in Orlando :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc ... and Emeril's looked like a possible choice ... it is a bit pricey for us Canadians though  so we'll see

if you want the same quality of food, prepared with mostly the same flare, then try MYTHOS.
the atmosphere is great and if it is a special occasion, ask for seating in the front room behind the curtian. it offers some privacy. it is the way we go when we have a large DIS meet there:smooth:

I have "heard" about Mythos before on the boards but never gave it much thought till now ... thanks :) ... where is it located by the way and is there a link to the menu to see what is available ... thanks MIB999999!

MYTHOS is located in the Lost Continent across from Posidion's Fury.

i think there is a link in the upper part in the IMPORTANT saved threads on the board.

keep in mind that the menu tends to change to take advantage of seasonal items.

If you go ask for Keirin for your server, and tell her you heard about MYTHOS on the DISboard and Mr. Henderson told you to ask for her. :smooth:

Kierin also knows me, thanks to MIB9etc. :)

Remember to tell MIB9etc. or I sent you. We're so close to getting a toaster oven. :)

$300 !!!!!!!

I'm glad you had an enjoyable experience but I would NEVER pay that much for a meal.

Webray, can you tell me about the digustation meal? Did you request it when you made reservations, or is it only offered at certain times? Did you have a choice as far as what to eat, or do you get what you get and that is it (I can't stand bell peppers or lamb, it could ruin a meal!)? How many courses was it? Are you seated in a certain area for this and a certain time or day? This sounds like it would be something my husband would like (he has been to a few places that do this). Thanks for answering all my questions!

Thanks for the tip on Mythos ... looks like quite an interesting place. I have also heard about the degustation at Emerils ... I would certainly like to try it ... however $150 US/person roughly converts to $237 CAN / person ... multiply by the 4 of us would equal close to $950 CAN !!!
