How much is a short taxi ride close to DLR?

We're spending our first night at the Anabella which is on the corner of Katella and the the road to the GCH. I was planning we'd walk our suitcases to the GCH in the morning, but I realize I might have two suitcases which would be challenging for klutzy me. How much would it cost to take a taxi for a very short ride? I am guessing there is some sort of minimum? Thanks!

We once took a cab from our hotel across from the main entrance on Harbor to the front door of the DL hotel and it was only $10. Traffic doesn't really matter as it's based on mileage.

Leaving the Anabella by car requires you to turn right on Katella then do a u-turn and come back to make the right turn onto the road that PPH and the Grand are on. Unless you met the taxi on the West St side of Tiffy's restaurant and the taxi was headed in that direction already, you cannot do the shorter route goldmay showed by car.

Taxis I've been in in Anaheim are mileage AND waiting time. Get some traffic while waiting to get out of Anabella, some traffic when waiting to u-turn, and traffic waiting to turn right, and that meter is ticking.

I would plan on $20 and rejoice when it's lower.

If you walk, you go out of Anabella to the left, cross the (longest) crosswalk (in the world, LOL), and walk on up the street. Very very pretty street, with weird curves in it. If you look at a satellite view of the road you'll see that the weird curves are part of half of a giant hidden Mickey. :) Lovely trees, birds of paradise flowers, etc. If you have rolling suitcases it shouldn't be too hard.

I agree...the walk from the Annabella to the GCH is an easy walk and I wouldn't hesitate to pull 2 suitcases there. It's less than .5 miles (actually exactly .5 miles to the Starbucks in DTD from the Annabella!)

Thanks! I wondered about the u-turn down Katella and back. I appreciate everyone's input--I think I will just plan on the walk :). I'm in good shape, just a little uncoordinated.
