How much has the cost of mugs increased over the years at WDW?

This is just another way Disney is encouraging people to use DDP - that and the incredible prices at character buffets.
The "value" of DDP as just increased via the increased price of the mug.

I don't think the price increase is enough to change people's decision making. A guest who is only staying one or two nights is actually paying less. A guest staying 3 nights is paying about the same. Those guests might be slightly more likely to purchase a mug. The increase isn't really significant for guests stay 5-14 days.
If Disney says there are safety issues with the refrigerators, then I believe them. However, I cannot get past the fact that it will take them 4 months to replace them. Fortunately, it does not affect us since we are DVC.

I read a thread where people were trying to guesstimate. I don't know how many, excluding DVC, refrigerators have to be replaced. Aren't there around 25,000 rooms? The fridge used by Disney is a specialty unit. I doubt there are enough units stored in the US to meet demand. That means a production run has to be scheduled and the units shipped. I assume from China. They won't be shipped air. That means container ship, probably to CA then trucked to Florida. Disney won't be replacing units during a guests stay. That means replacement has to phased in over weeks, maybe months, once they arrive.
