How much further to home mom? SURPRISE!! WE aren't going home we're going to Disney!

OK SO I amm trying this again! I started one of these last week on 9/3, there was a reply to it on 9/5 today is 9/9 and it is in the closed trip report section??? Oh well, at least I had not gotten much done! So here is the cut and paste for the basics of my trip -

This is my first attempt at a (pre)trip report. However not my first trip to WDW! I never really thought that anyone would read it so I never wrote one before but then I figured, as much as I like reading and looking at everyone elses pics maybe they would like mine to!

My cast is Me Disney lover
DH loves Disney almost as much as I do
DS 10 (when we go) Enjoys Disney completley wants to make next trip during Star Wars weekends
DD 3 LOVES everything disney and Princesses!

We went last year for my Bday as an adult only trip and then my parents and kids joined us for the last part of the trip. It was great and pretty much perfect, so we planned on going back next year hopefully with the whole family for my parents 40th. DH and I just celebrated our 15 anniversary in July but we got to do nothing since we celebrated it in the presence of 200 teenagers at church camp! So we werre planning an us only trip to Cancun this Dec (the kids still think that is what we are doing!) Then while looking for deals one day I came across FREE DINING!!! and DH had such a great time last year he said what if we just take the kids and then we go to Cancun in March! WELL that was a no brainer!! Two trips instead of one! Well of course I am up for that! So we have booked Dec 3-12 at CBR, although I thinnk I may have to change the dates a little. We may not be arriving until the 6th now - the day after my Bday but that is OK. My BFF is renewing her wedding vows the 5th so I really guess I need to be there! Unless something changes of course.

So we are not telling the kids until they wake up "on the way home" from the wedding that we really are not going to Cancun but we are going to Disney! I am so excited about that part I can't stand it!

Tomorrow I get to make my dining ressies - any suggestions?

trails end with the campfire after and the movie
akershus for my little princess 3yo
and I don't know what else?? I think I need 2 more any suggestions?

That is all for now! I have to leave to go camping! Here's hoping I stick with this and at least a couple of people read it!

OK to start the introductions...
This is me -Stacy- the lover of all things Disney! One of my favorite pasttimes is planning my friends trips! There is nothing like getting to live Disney dreams on someone elses $$$!

This was one of my pics from the attempt of hats from around the world!

Next up is DH - Vern, he really never thought he would enjoy Disney but he is about to love it as much as me!

DS 9, I am hoping he doesn't catch on that I am planning a trip for us not just for friends!! He loves to play football and last year when we were there he played pass with one of the Dream team members at EP! THat is mine in the yellow shirt!

Last but not least is the little Princess, and she really is convienced that she is one! If you call her queen she will correct you and let you know that she is THE Princess! She was a big decicing factor for going again this year, she talks about it almost daily and can't wait to see the princesses again

I have just got back from vacation- not Disney but Myrtle Beach with my whole family and so I am going to try to fill you in on my planning so far assuming anyone really wants to know. Although after being in the car with my kids for 14 hours coming home I really started to think that Cancun sounded really good and it wasn't to late to cancel my trip!! But planning it is so fun, it is kinda like giving birth, you forget the pain of the actual event quickly because of the joy it brings!!
I made my ADRs at my 90 day mark not real sure about what parks we would be going to when so I am hoping that these work out. I was thinking about maybe not doing PH this time since I could go to MVMCP for the price of the PH but now because of this I am not real sure I can do it without the PH. But whatever! Although the $200 would be nice!
So my ADRs are
Arrival on Dec 6 Dinner at O'hana @ 5:30 with a friend from work and her family
Mon Dec 7 BBB @ 8:30 @ MK for DD3 then to Akershus @ 10:30
Tue Dec 8 CP @ 8:05 before the park opening! I always wanted the castle pics without the crowd!
Wed Dec 9 R&C @ 8PM requesting a patio table on arrival to watch Illuminations
Thur Dec 10 ? Tusker 8AM and TRex @ 5PM (OOP since not on DDP)
Fri Dec 11 Trails end @ 5PM then to the campfire and movie
Sat Dec 12 ?Tusker 8:05 AM
When I made the Ressies I wasn't sure if we were leaving on the 11 or 12 but now I think we are leaving on the 13 so I may need to add in another ressie any suggestions, I was thinkin maybe Teppan Edo?
So that is what I have for my ADRs, I really loved the online ADR system although I did call about a few of them that I could not get online and got them from the CM, but overall I was very pleased with it and super happy with all that I got! i am open to any suggestions on additions or changes, always willing to try something new!

I have also been gathering my invites for the kids and t-shirt DISigns. I will share those later when I have them!

What fun to surprise the kids! We did the same thing after going to a wedding in south Alabama a few years ago. We weren't sure how we were going to tell them. When it was time to leave from all the wedding festivities the girls were disappointed that we had not gotten to shop at any big souvenir shops. We told them we were going to stop at one on the way home. It could not have worked out any better. They happened to be asleep until just before we got to DtD. It took them a few minutes to realize we had headed the "wrong way" home and were stopping to shop at the big "Disney souvneir shop" and staying at WDW for a week!

I'm in!

We did a surprise for the kids three years ago. They thought we were driving home from Atlanta. We were in the motorhome so I just kept the kids occupied with movies and snacks until DH pulled over just before the big Disney Arch and proclaimed "we're lost, can anyone find a sign that will tell us where we are?" My DS7 (at the time) decided to call his grandfather to let him know where we were. His granfather wasn't at home so DS left a message, we saved it "Hi Papaw this DS7, I just wanted to let you know, mom lied. She said we didn't have enough money yet to go to Disney World but she lied to us because we had enough money to get all the way here by accident".

OK first I want to say - SORRY!! I really suck at this. Life just kinda happened so I fell off the bandwagon. But now I am back so I will do better for the next week and I promise to have a full TR when I get back with lots of pics (because that is my favorite thing about TRs! We leave in 1 week and 5 days!! I have to work this weekend and then I am off until I get back so I better have everything done by Sat night or I won't have time to finish it up Life at home is much busier most of the time than working night shift!! I have all of my ADRs finalized this is the final verdict -

We are leaving after breakfast and a last trip around the AK on Sat. We were originally staying for Disapalooza but decided against it because DH didn't know if the kids had that long of an attention span to do the night and he doesn't have to miss another day of work or drive straight through to home.

DS is so clueless!! I have to say I am really loving that part. He is convinced that DH & I are going on vacation and he and his sister are staying at Grammy's house for the week! I so can't wait until he figures it out!!
Well gotta get to bed and I will update you more tomorrow night and have pics to share of all my goodies I have been making!!
