How much for your holiday??

For our Aug. trip this year DD and I had 10 days at POP for £555, including free dining. Airfare was £1100 for the two of us and as we have AP`s for Universal and WDW we did`nt have to buy tickets :cool1:

Great idea for a thread.

Going next May/June for 20 nights (includes the school half term break) booked with Virgin

2 adults / 2 kids under 11 at Fairfield Inn LBV, upgrade to Premium car total cost £2302 (got 15% off in easter sale)

On top of that we have since added 3 nights accomodation in the middle of the holiday to stay at the Hilton Longboat Key resort at a total cost of just £189 for the 4 of us :cheer2:
Some of the online hotel booking sites wanted almost that amount for 1 night :confused3

Still got sufficient days left on our Disney park tickets from last time so just got to buy the US/IOA and DC tickets now.

We've booked up for 2 weeks in July 06 with Travel City Direct.

For 8 people, the flights, taxes, insurances, and two 8 seater vehicles, the price was £4,000.

We booked a villa separately which for the two weeks was £1,200.

So it worked out about £650 per person for flights and accomodation. Still need a fair bit more for all the rest though :faint:

MIne seems quite paltry in comparison with some £1739.50 for 3 in All star movies plus park tix, 14 day ultimate and 1 day seaworld £540
total = £2279.50

We are heading off in 3 weeks, but heres what ours is costing us for a family of 5. 2 Adults, DD(5), DS(23mths), DS(23mths) staying at all star movies and flying with virgin.

Flights: 2200.00
Hotel + 14day disney ticket: 1111.00
Spending money: 2000.00
Airport Transfer ( local ): 112.00
Travel Insurance: 72.00

Total: £5495

Im sure it will be worth it though. :cool1:

2 x adults & 1 x teen, for 1 week All star Movies, 1 week quality inn plaza, 1 week Hilton clearwater beach & 1 wedding - £2,300, (total of 3 weeks)travelling October 2006 (1 week a school hol week). Booked with TA & then found out Virgin direct were offering 15% that day so it would have been 15% cheaper if i known!!!
But i'm not bitter :badpc:
Not sorted tickets or spending money yet.

If you decide not to go with Virgin, other tour operators are cheaper because they class the kids as kids till they are 16. Thomas Cook and Airtours go even further by having the kiddie age limit at 19.

Hi Bev

Sorry I worded my post incorrectly, I am booked with via Thomas Cook, i'm always miffed though that i have to pay adult prices for my eldest who is only 12 on the disney tickets etc. Just looked at my holiday receipt and yes we did get him a childs cost for the holiday (so that's a bonus) booked my christmas dinner on monday for whispering canyon cafe and was told on the phone that DS will be charged for an adult dinner as well, so he better eat it :rotfl2: or i will ask for a doggy bag :rotfl2:

Oh good, I am glad about that. It is annoying when you have to pay adult prices for kids.

I automatically have to pay adult price for my 9 yr old childs holidays just because I'm a single parent

Well I definately don't agree with that Mr-D :crazy2:

Hi,
Back this morning from WDW, flew with first choice(excellent), stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort (excellent also!), cost £1826 booked online with first choice - for some reason travelling on Tues 13 Sept was £600 cheaper than the Thurs before or after! Declined the car insurance for free car as have my own annual policy through Natwest - £75. (over £300 for First Choice ins).
Tesco travel insurance - about £300 as DH has medical conditions.
Seats together - about £30, kids meals - £20, Sanford Guest House for return (very good!) - £32.
Booked dining plan and 14 day ultimate tickets through first choice too - £924 + £706 (DD aged 10 is classed as adult for these, dining plan cost more than we would have spent on food, but was well worth it to experience some of the fantastic restaurants in Disney, without worrying about the costs).
£650 spending money in dollars, plus about £500 on credit card.
4 park flex tickets and kennedy space tickets from orlando ticket deals - about £500, didn't really get money's worth out of these as spent most of our time on site.

Sorry, I'm not doing the maths on this one - I don't want to know the total yet!!! It's too soon! LOL
