Sorry to be nosy :teeth: But I suppose we are all anon here anyway.
But I feel strange asking as I wouldn't ask people in real life....Hey how much did you pay for your holiday? :Pinkbounc

But....Thats my question...How much did your hols to florida cost you and for how many people?

I'll answer my own quuestion first :earseek:

I haven't yet booked ..butI think the best prices I have found are.

£1800 for fly drive with7 seater van August25th to Sept 7th Thats for 2 adults 2 children.

£800 one week inAKL (haven't decided on this yet may go for cheaper option)

Sorry meant to add Fly drive withTCD.

£400 one week in villa (again haven't chosen yet but this seems to be the price)

So that would be a grand total of £3000 for 2 weeks...2 adults and 2 children.

Hi
That sounds about right, then another grand for tickets which include 10 park hopper,2 day universal and 1 day seaworld for 2 adults and 2 children. Then spending money, so not much change out of 6 grand., soon mounts up doesn't it.,
still its worth it.

Ours was £2114 for 2 adults, flying with Virgin and staying at the ASMO, the ultimate Disney tickets are included in that.

Yes your right it really does add up :earseek:
On top of that iam thinking of adding the disney dining package for our week on site that will be £400.
But at least I'll save a bit on tickets as we aready have 3 ,4day hoppers for disney. We bought them on our last trip in 99 but only used 1 day hence we all have 4 days left(except youngest dd)

So we will probably just puchase a 1 day MYW ticket along with our accomadion and then a flexi ticket for the second week. :cheer2:

This year is the first year that I've bought a package, because it was cheaper. 2 adults 2 children and 1 infant staying at ASSports for 2 weeks and 14 day ultimate tickets came to a grand total of £2138. Only 4 days to go now, I can't wait!!! :goodvibes

Forgot to say that we booked through Virgin

£2024 for two adults traveling sunshine first with tcd, including premium insurance full size car, staying at pop century for two weeks, includes dbf insurance as well and tickets for busch gardens, bargain lol

Ours is for 2 adults and 2 children. Booked in April 04 for Oct 05 direct with Virgin Holidays (something I rarely do!!).

Flights from LGW, 14 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge, intermediate car and all insurance for 21 days, 7 nights fly drive....£2495 :teeth:

Extras - 7 nights Polynesian Concierge approx $400 per night - $2800 = £1500

Upgrade to Premium Economy for flight home - £550

Disney Dining Experience Card - $50 (but hoping it will save its cost a few times over!!)

Tickets - APs already bought on last years holiday! total £0 :flower:

1 night at Le Meridien, family room with breakfast - paid for with airmiles converted from £105 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers - total £0 :cheer2:

Grand total before spends...£4475

Approx spends...hmmm who knows!! Probably about $3000.

Flights, pre-seating, car hire, car insurance: £809.88
Contribution to friends timeshare maintenance: £150
Travel insurance with TCD: £67
Park tickets (14 day ultimate, 2 for 7 Universal): £418
MNSSHP tickets: £48.70

So £1493.58 for two adults for 14 nights! Can't wait to go now!

The total holiday this year cost just under £8,000. This includes staying in a top hotel, car, insurance, 14 days passes to both Disney and Universal parks, plus one day at Discovery Cove, food and spending money for 4. I nearly fainted when I totalled the holiday up.

Next year's holiday currently at £3800 for four including hotel, flights, car, insurance, airport parking. Expensive business.

Unfortunately both holidays in peak July holiday season.

For our last trip I would guess around £7000 for flights, accommodation and car hire. Extra for spending money and tickets.

:wizard:

Booked with Sky Deals

Fly Drive on US Airways via PHL, Full size car with all insurances, tank fuel and extra driver = £1900

20 Nights Standard room in the Radisson Barcelo £600

Tickets, Old style 5 Park Hopper Plus, with 5 PArk 14 day flex = £1000 or there abouts.

Spending money $3200 plus a brand new  EMPTY  Nationwide Credit Card for larger purchases.

Ahh Bev...seems we are both paying over the odds a bit to go in the summer. :earseek:

My total is £3000 as I said above but it would have been an extra £700 to go 4 days earlier on the 20th aug instead of the 24th aug.
We have agonised over this desicion as our ds will be going into y9 and if we go on the 24th he will miss the first 4 days of term.

I just don't know what to do, i don't think we can afford the extra £700 and dh thinks it would be silly to pay that much more.

:goodvibes We did really well this year. We got a great deal on the hotel and used air miles.

We paid £850 for the Peabody Hotel and used around £3000 in spending money. We also got a limmo for airport connections wich was £250. So the whole holiday cost just over £4000 for 2 adults

If we had paid for the flights it would have been about £7000 more expensive and if we'd had to pay the full hotel charge it'd have been around £2500 more.

Can't believe that takes it to over £13000.

Don't like to think what it's gonna cost us next year without the air miles :scared1:

It should be a bit cheaper for us next year because we are not doing Discovery Cove, DS17 is not looking to buy more Oakley sunglasses though he might buy some clothes and DH is not after a new watch. I think it may be mine and DS15's turn to look for something expensive. PSP here I come. :)

Welllllllllllllllll,,,

Two adults and one child, Virgin Upper Class £3,110
Ford Explorer via Hertz for two weeks £377
Villa, £125,000
WDW & Universal Annual passes, already got in January
So, either a total of £3,487
or £3,487 + (£125,000/20 years/52 weeks * 2 (weeks) = £240) £3,727 or £1,242 each

I have not added our rental income, or taxes, utility payments and maintenance payments inton the above, as the rental income more than covers those

2 adultts 1 DD 10 with Virgin + car and all insurances staying 1 week at RPR and 2 weeks at POFQ, flights from Belfast to Gatwick return and 1 nights accomadation in Ramada Plaza Gatwick cost £4400 leaving 28th June 2006

We stayed off site at LBV. Hotel 400, passess 700(14 day flex and 5 day hopper), flights with virgin including car insurance and upgrade 1600, plus spends 700. 3400 for 2 adults and 1 child. For 2 weeks. (school hols May 05)

Next time we're going for 3, but I have to save up for 2 years first. Oh I could weep. It seems ages away.

Hi all

Hols are turning intoa very expensive item for families. We went, 2 adults, 2 children (1 under 3 at the time) to ASM for 18 nights in April 2002 in total it was 3500.00 + about 2k in spending so almost 5,500.00.

We went to Euro Disney the following year (wife was preggers coulndt fly) for 4 nights with spending at hotel Cheyenne it cost nearly 1800.00.

Tunisia all inclusive 2 adults, 2 children and 1 infant, last August for 2 weeks, with a bit of spending 3300.00

Cuba (just this August) 2 Adults 2 Children 1 infant all inclusive 3 weeks plus excursions and a few odds and sods 5500.00

Almost 17k in just over 3 years, bloody hell it is really costing a bomb for families.

The Disney one next year for the five of us, is easily going to run into 6000.00

The cost of travel from the uk nowadays seems ridiculous.

have fun

Steve

Another comparison;

2 adults / 2 chiildren fly drive 14 nights, economy car TCD 2 weeks ; £1210 16th Feb 06 to 2nd Mar 06 (booked Mar 2005).

Regal Palms 4 bed townhouse (booked private British Owner on VRBO site) 10 nights £550

4 Night Disney Cruise (cat 12- the lowest); Dreams Unlimited (booked Mar 05) £940

(Using up old park tickets and doing non Disney stuff)

TOTAL for 4 of us for 2 weeks (including a Disney Cruise) = £2700

Look on kids' faces when we roll up at the port for the cruise PRICELESS (we're not telling them till we get there ! :love1: )

PS I've known people pay more than this to go to Disneyland Paris !!!

My advice shop around / shop early !!!
