I want to book my room ony ressie for may 2012 ( I will add the package in aug when packages come out) I know it cost $200 to book the package but how much will it cost to book the room only? I know its one nights rate but it it the highest that the room could cost in the year? Im a little confused! Also can you make payments toward the room only?? TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Highest room rate for 2011 for that type room will be the deposit.

To me, it is just easier to book a package to begin with, if you know you want a package in the end.
If you book a room only, you will pay one night's deposit. And unless you pay the room only deposit by check, those funds cannot be transferred to a package.

Are you sure about that? My room-only deposit for my December trip was far below the highest room rate for the type of room I selected (highest rate was $675, our deposit was $551). I was under the impression it was the average of one-night's stay for your trip or something close to it.
