How much does stonework cost?

The front steps and landing on our 25-year-old house heave every winter, and finally have just broken away where they were connected to the siding. Rather than getting the same again I was thinking of having stone steps up to the door, which is about 3 feet from the ground. Anyone have any stonework done and cost?

Not sure if this is exactly what you're doing, but we had a paver patio put in our backyard last summer. We had only one large step put in and it was around $300. If we had to add another step it would have been around $450 I think. Our step is about 6 feet long though and has a special curved front.
