I want to buy a gift for someone and she likes Red Lobster. I am not a seafood fan. And on the gulf coast you get better seafood from the local restaurants so we don't go. Plus I have kids so we are never just two.

Anyway, for a couple that doesn't drink alcohol, how much should I get a gift card for? Thanks!

I've seen the gift cards in 25 & 50. 25 may not cover the full cost and I would think 50 would. Either would be fine as far as I'm concerned, depending on how much you want to spend.

Do they drink water or a drink that they need to pay for (soda, tea, etc). Do you want it to cover the tip too? Meals can vary in price. I personally would give no less than $40. I would give $50.

I agree. If you are looking to cover the meal - $50.

Thank you! DH says $50 too. I was thinking it cost closer to $100 but I don't actually pay when we go out to eat, DH does. I wrangle the toddler. :rotfl: We have a me, DH, DS16, DD2, and my father so our bills are always on the larger size.

With the recent menu change, the prices went up and the portion size went down. I think you could still make it for $25.

It can go over 50 if you are ordering drinks, crab/lobster, and a dessert.

When we go, it is for lunch and usually bring my dd, who would order crab legs everytime if you let her.

I get the "catch of the day", which is more expensive as a dinner portion.

My husband and I went July 4 th to Red lobster for lunch and for 2 ice teas ( free refills ) 2 app and 2 main cor. It was $48 with tip we left $60.00 .

We always spend in the $80-$90 range for two at dinner - appetizers, lobster (usually Lobster Lover's Dream) and drinks (lobsteritas.) No dessert. That's with tax and tip.

Of course there are much less expensive menu items, but we only go for the lobster. (And only once or twice a year.)

For Dh and I 50.00 should cover a meal. I don't do seafood and he orders shirmp usually plus 2 soda type drinks.

The prices for each location are on the Red Lobster website. Looks like $14 to $27 a person (for the one closest to me).

We just went to red lobster. We got off the 3 course for 14.99 menu so 50 would have been more then enough, 25 not enough.
