Just curious. How much do you tip the pizza deliverer? I know some pizza places add on a delivery charge. Does that effect your tipping?

I tip 1.50 to $3.00 (about 10%) of the bill... I don't believe the delivery fee goes to the kid that delivers the pizza! I just ordered some too! :goodvibes

Anywhere from $3-5 a delivery, depending on the size of the order. We almost never get just one pizza since we're feeding 6 of us, there's a couple picky eaters in the mix & DH likes leftovers for lunch the next day. Plus we'll add sides from time to time since they've started selling wings, etc.

3.00-usually the delivery charge doesn't go to the deliverer!

I actually do 15% (minus whatever delivery charge is assessed) -- they're not bringing it to my table, they're bringing it to my house. Since my tendency to order pizza is directly correlated to the nastiness of the weather outside, I am usually feeling sorry for the poor, wet souls from Pizza Hut.

Actually it depends on the brand. DS was a pizza delivery person for a couple years, part time. He got to keep his tips, which varied from about 25 cents up to $20 (boy, that was one popular customer!)

Generally $2 plus whatever change is left. I tend to tip more when its raining outside too!

15% of the total...but in a snow storm I'll go for 20%

about $5...I used to deliver and I tip well to make up for those who don't tip well or at all. Yes I got stiffed quite a few times. Drivers have to pay for their own gas and upkeep of their car.

They get $2 and they can not use my bathroom :teeth:

Tip would depend on the size of the order and what the weather is out side. As well as how much I didn't want to miss a second of the game. But generally its a few bucks. I live less than a block from the pizza place so I'm not far at all.

at least $2 plus the coins in my change

BTW, the drivers do not get the delivery charge (at least for Domino's)

I usually tip $3. If it's raining or snowing, they get more because I'm a wimp and won't go out in crappy weather!! :umbrella:

Good to know! You've just made my pizza guys happier... I've been educated and will increase my tipping now! :thumbsup2

Papa John's drivers do (or at least they did when DS worked for them a couple years ago)
