For funsies, how much have you spent for DCL cruise fares across all voyages? (Not including things like flights or port excursions or on-board extras.) Laying here this morning, trying to justify a cheaper cruise line for the next vacation and failing miserably.
Just added up all of our DCL cruise fares since we started sailing in 2017 and it is $90,000. A lot of money when you look at it that way! 21 sailings - 17 verandah cabins, 2 oceanview cabins, 2 inside cabins.
117 nights for DH and I over 17 cruises.
26 nights for 2 adult sons over 4 cruises.
I've been on 25 DCL cruises, the majority with my kids and a lot of times with them in their own inside cabin. We do mostly ocean view rooms and 7 or more days. Just made me realize that the Pearl gift is pretty lame given the amount of money I've spent (and the repeat of the gifts!)
Thanks! Helps to have those cruises back in the early 2000's when rates were a little lower. My stand out one was in 2005 when I did a 7-night cruise for 5 on the Magic in the Roy suite for $12,000. I think that's what 1 night costs for 2 now.
I refuse to answer this on account of it will only cause me pain (17 DCL sailings since 2020)
That being said I mostly sail with just one of other person so my goal is always to try to stay under $350 per person per night when sailing DCL- when adding a third person in the room do not want to pay more than $275 per person per night. We sail off-season. I don’t mind staying in interior room on the dream class and classic ships, but need at least an ocean view with the set up on the wish class. Am I willing to pay more? Yes but the goal is to stay under that amount And most of the time I don’t have a problem with that.
$83,000 spent on 13 cruises for a family of four. $164.68 per person per day. Ready for another $9,000 for two more in 2025 and 2026 with only family of three. Don’t know why they all couldn’t be like our first cruise...10 nights for $999 per person in the Mediterranean.
Too much, 16 Disney cruises so far, got 4 booked for this year & just paid deposit on transatlantic for May 2026, so must be over $100K plus about another $50K in respect of on board account
11 cruises, including 3 to Alaska and one northern European, 4 people each time so I'd say that puts us firmly in the $75k-$100k bracket (US dollars, more in Canadian ). Looking to book #12 for later in 2026, just dh and I this time
