I have a little tykes playhouse that I am going to seel this weeknd..How much do these go for at garage sales?? thanks it has a table inside of it too....

Powerwash it if you can. It makes a HUGE difference in the appearance. These items sell very well at yard sales, but how much you'll get depends on which model you have.

Price them very high...sometimes they will actually sell that high and if it doesn't sell on the first day you can always lower the price on day 2. I sold a lot of Little Tikes stuff last summer. thought mine were all priced WAY too high, but every one of them sold at asking price or within $5 of asking price. My pieces were all 7-9 years old and had typical outdoor wear (good shape, but far from perfect). These are the items I sold and how much I sold them for... (I actually sold a bunch of other pieces as well, but these were the larger ones)

Log Cabin - $130

Cottage - $120

Climber with small slide, rope - $100

8-in-1 Adjustable Climber - $95

Picnic Table - $35

thanks so much....My Dh did power wash it all.and it lloks great. I was thinking 40 dollars but now you are making me reconsider..it is the second house you have posted....what do you think...

I live in a development with a ton of kids, so Little Tikes stuff sells VERY well. Around here the Used price is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the New price. If you live in an area with a lot of kids, aim high. I guarantee you that it will sell for $40 at the end of your last day if it isn't gone before then, but I think that even in an area with less kids you can get a bare minimum of $75 for it.

I think I was VERY lucky with my prices, but I also think the $40 you are looking for is way too low.

We have a ton of kids around here and live on a busier road so tag sales do very well...What do you think I should ask..maybe seventy five to start out??? Is that fair do you think>>>?????

You'll probably sell it quick and you'll be thinking how you should've started higher, but 75.00 sounds fair. Would you be happy with that?

I've been looking for one for my twins for the past 4 months! Are you near Somers/Endfield, CT?

Are you looking to make money or do you want to just get rid of it?? If you're looking to make money, please consider Ebay!! We sold our 8 in 1 climber and a discontinued Little Tikes treehouse/climber (it was two story house/fort with a slide) on Ebay last month and made $350 total. :thumbsup2 $100 for the 8 in 1 climber and $250 for the treehouse/climber. I put "pick-up only" on the auction, and listed pictures and lots of descriptions. My 8 in 1 climber was a little faded, but the treehouse was in great condition. I had people that drove 1 1/2 hours to come get the treehouse, and they drove an hour to get the house.

email me if yu want to bruceguillemette@sbcglobal.net

We also sold our 8-in-1 climber on ebay I put a buy it now of $280.00 and it sold within minutes! I'd check completed auctions on ebay to see what they sold for. Good Luck!

You guys have better luck than I did today ...My dh is going to lower the price for tomorrow..we did not get rid of it today....

Oh my goodness! Y'all had me curious. I have a Little Tykes castle that I bought for $75 about 5 years ago. It is is great condition - only has some sun fading but has all of the stickers and pieces. I looked it up out of curiosity and that thing is going for almost $200! Some of them are over $300! I had no idea. I would have put it in a garage sale for $40 and thought I was doing good. Turns out it is discontinued and hard to find.

If you're talking about the castle that I think you are, it has been selling for big bucks for a long time. It was actually discontinued back in the early 90s, so they are getting harder and harder to find. Even 5 years ago they were selling for a lot more than $75 used...you got a deal.

Let us know how it sold. My mom's neighboor just sold that exact cottage (the second photo) and my sister bought it. She had it for 2 days in her garage sale for $50.00 w/ no takers (which did actually shock me). It was in great condition aside from sun fading. Very clean and fully intact though. My sister ended up picking it up for $25.00 (what they marked it down to in the final hour to move it). I thought she got a huge bargain and looks like I was right.

My friend and I looked and looked for a Little Tikes/Fisher Price/Step Two playhouse for my daughter. We looked in the paper, we looked on our school swap sheet, we searched garage sales. Whenever we would find one it would be GONE. We went to a garage sale last week and we saw one. We waited until the Garage Sale opened and we ran (what a sorry sight) up the driveway to the lady but a man got there first and it was sold!! It was $75.00. Same sort of thing the next time we saw one, it had already sold and was waiting for pick-up. I finally got one from someone who knew someonw who kenw someone etc. It is a small one so I am still looking. I would pay $50-$75 depending on condition.

The castle used to bring in much more on ebay but they just rereleased it and it is no longer retired, so you can get it again, of course new it is $300-$400. It still brings in a good bit on ebay, but used to bring in 2X. I have watched them for about 3 years for my son, but I guess we don't really need it! I am about to get rid of one of our last 2 houses too!

I've paid $100 at a garage sale for a playhouse, like new, always inside and less than a year old, sold for $500 brand new. But on the flip side I have paid only $10 SEVERAL times! Decent to Good condition. I surely would never sell one for $10 unless you just wanted to move it. I can't believe people sell them for so cheap sometimes. Thus the reason we had 3 playhouses until last month!

Little tikes also just rereleased the cottage the one poster was looking for, so you can get it from littletikes.com if interested.

I HAPPILY paid $75 for a used log cabin.

I bought a used log cabin in great condition at a yard sale last month for $25. I almost kissed the woman I was so excited!!!

OP---Please consider Ebay. It's easy and profitable on used Little Tikes things.

I have the big castle, the small playhouse and a picnic table that I am going to sell at a garage sale next weekend. If they don't go for my price then I'll sell them on ebay.

We have the much talked about castle, I bought it used 4 years ago for $70. DH wants to get rid of it because we just got a new playset in the back yard, but I like to keep it for a while. I figure I can sell it as easily next year as this year.

I had no idea it could get "real" money for it. The fire picture is broken, but the rest is fine. :thumbsup2

We have a playhouse that isn't as good of shape in the basement. It was free from a neighboor. It took my DH 2 hours with a power washer to clean it off. The kids love it though. :Pinkbounc
