We plan at 4 as most rooms hold that many. If we went to 5, then the room cost would increase dramatically. We had 6 last year so we ended up bringing the camper because of that. This year we are coming with 4, could be more but not willing to spend for a 2nd room for 1 more person. Sure wish Disney would accommodate more. I looked into the suites at the values but they sleep 6 at a cost of almost 3 times higher, better off with 2 rooms in that case and can also sleep 8 then. Cheaper yet just go with 4.

We stayed for 6 nights at POP, with free dining which cost around $1200. This also included our 6 day hoppers. We did not do water parks, or the non-expriing version.

We did do Garden Grocer for breakfast items. We saved on CS credits for lunches. I spent roughly $100 at GG, and another $60 for fridge rental.

Airfare on JetBlue from EWR for 4 $600. I don't think I could handle that drive!

We are starting a tradition of trying to go every other year, so our next trip will be in 2008.

I think I brought about $1000 in spending money with me, and came home with almost $400.

So, when all was said and done, I think it cost about $2500 for this last trip. We did let the kiddies go overboard on souvenirs, as this was their first visit.

We travel as a family of 3: mom, dad, son age 9

We belong to DVC, so we stay in a DVC resort, usually SSR or BCV

We usually stay 5 nights, Sunday through Thursday

For the past two years, we have had annual passes; this year we don't, because we have some old park hoppers with leftover days, so we got 7 day, non-expiring, MYW passes with the water park option (which cost about the same as the annual passes, but, include 6 trips to the water parks, which don't expire, and we will likely use in the future when we get tickets without water park option).

We usually go twice a year, sometimes three. We went 3 times in 2006, because I attended a CME conference, so, the hospital picked up our hotel and my air fare and meal expenses.

Our total bill for meals is usually about $100 for things we get at the grocery, like breakfast items, drinks and snacks. We average about $600 for other meals at Disney. Alot of times we treat guests, so, I don't have an exact figure. We don't do the DDP because we travel with family who want to eat other than at Disney.

Airfare generally has been running between $150-250 per person.

When we prorate our ticket usage with the annual passes, I think WDW is very reasonable, cost wise, and comparable to most other vacations, in terms of expenses. With this last annual pass, we actually made four trips, since fall break this year just happened to be a week earlier than the year before. So, we actually went to parks about 20 days for the cost of a 7-10 MYW pass with non-expiring option.
