How much do you pay for a Disney World/Universal vacation?

$3,800 for family of four

$1250 Airfare
1628 Park Tickets (Disney, Uni, & Legoland includes discounts)
728 offsite 3 bd/2 bath condo
200 car rental

IDK if it's been said, but doing both WDW & US in one trip is VERY expensive b/c of the price of tix. I normally go to WDW for 10-15 days to get the most out of my WDW tix. We've gone to US on free tix once & visited City Walk. [which is so fun on it's own, just pay to park] We would like to plan a US trip but that will most likely be an entirely different trip from WDW. But of course we'll pop over to Disney Springs a few times & different WDW Resort hotels for dining. I personally doubt I'd buy the 2 sets of park tickets in one trip, not only b/c of the expense but mainly b/c there is not enough time to enjoy all there is to offer @ both locations.

Agreed. Trying to do both makes it more expensive no doubt. HOWEVER, we like to do the "best of both worlds" when we visit Orlando. After having visited Orlando several times the Disney parks don't hold my interest for a week anymore especially with all the closings and lack of new attractions. But its just not Universal we substitute but also trying other Orlando attractions we may have not done before. If I'm spending money on any trip I like there to be something new and interesting!

My last Orlando vacation was great fun, but budget for sure, bunking up with relatives. Just DS and I went. We had freebie air on SW with points. My parents did a timeshare exchange for the condo -- freebie or us and they got a rental car. Plus my nephew is local and has a car too. I spent a total of about $1680 for two of us for a whole week. DH doesn't care for theme parks, so doesn't come on these.

Kennel for dog: $300 (DH with work schedule, didn't want the added responsibilities with other family members gone
Misc. Food and spending: $600 (groceries, meals in parks, airport parking, souvenirs)
Treating our group of five to the Christmas party at the MK: $370
Two one day park to park passes at Universal: $240
Two SeaWorld weekend day and two additional days for the bargain price of $15 each: $170

A very budget friendly $1680 for a week

My mini LA/Disneyland Trip in January is going to be considerably more expensive (budget is $3500)

Normally, I take all four of my boys who are all now considered Disney adults, and the cost is generally around $3,000. We usually get a Florida resident annual weekday pass and go twice a year, so I divide the total price of the annual passes in two and count one half as the ticket cost for each trip. We have found that Caribbean Beach Resort is our new favorite resort for our family of 5 since we do not spend too much time in the room. Our budget looks like this.

Tickets: Around $690 per trip
Hotel: Around $1,080 for 6 nights
Food: $1200 for 5 people two counter service meals per day and a snack, we take breakfast food with us.
Gas: $75
Extras: $200
Total for 6 nights: $3,247 give or take

For this upcoming trip next month it is a littler different. I was invited to attend Disney Social Media Moms, so 7 day park hoppers along with our room at the Yacht Club and most meals the first three days of the trip were covered under one small price. Then, I added on three nights at POP at a Florida resident rate of $311 for three nights. The total with 3 nights at Yacht Club, 3 nights at POP, meals that we will pay for and the conference with included 7 day tickets, extras and gas will come to about $1,800 for 6 nights.

That is just myself and my oldest son though, as we are roping it in as his 16th Birthday celebration. Myself and my four boys are headed overseas in June for some long term International travel, so couldn't afford to take them all this time, and they just went in Nov.

I am in the midst of planning a trip for the 2 of us and 2 adult children for July, 14 days.

Our first night will be “free” with hotel points (1 room). Our flight won’t get in until about 6pm so we will stay at a hotel near the airport.

We have a rental car for the first 6 days. $ 198.00 for a full size car with second driver free via Costco.

I haven’t gotten airline tickets, yet, but right now they will be $2230.00. Watching to see if they go down.

We will be staying at USO Royal Pacific Resort for 3 nights (1 room). I prepaid through Cheaptickets. That room is $ 1,125.11.

I haven’t gotten USO tickets yet but I see they have gone up $ 20.00 each since February. Planning on 4 X 4 day park to park tickets. Probably through AAA, which will be about $ 1,000.00 for all.

We will check out of RPR and spend one night across the street from USO. Two “free” rooms with hotel points. We will spend that day at USO, also.

Then we move over to Kissimmee and spend 1 night “free” with hotel points (1 room). We plan to spend that day at Downtown Disney and maybe the afternoon at a water park.

Then we move over to Pop Century. Two rooms for 8 nights, $ 1,074.60 each room. Once we get checked in, we will be returning the rental car.

We bought a lot of WDW tickets 10 years ago and we are just using the last of those. I don’t remember how much we paid for them but I will guess about $ 600.00 for tickets for this trip.

I am going to estimate that just rooms, car, flights, and tickets, we will be up around $ 7,302.31, with food and any other essentials to be added on.

Around $4,000 for 2 adults and 2 kids for 10 days. Includes airfare, rental at a private home/villa in Clermont, 5 day park tickets, food (restaurant and grocery), race fees, rental car, and parking. In park purchases we use our gift cards or reward card we've acculturated over the year.
