How much do you normally spend on your own children for Christmas????

I spent about $150 on each child, if not a little less on my 3 YO.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) my DS 7 had gotten a Wii earlier in the year and last christmas got the PS2, and we had a Nintendo DS already, so this year he got 2 games, and some toys, and was quite frankly disappointed that he didn't get all that much. Those two games combined (one Wii game and one DS game cost $80) and I guess they seem small when there wasn't a big ticket item this year.

Oh well.

Wow! Here I thought I was spoiling our daughter (3.5 yrs old), but I think I spent $80 on her. Granted I shopped super deep discounts (post-Halloween costume clearance at Disney Store, that type of thing), and hubby and I were thinking that we overdid it with her. Our son (9 months old) got maybe $30 worth of presents only because hubby nixed my idea of wrapping him boxes of tissue/wrapping paper since that's all that he would have liked anyway.

We tend to make birthdays a bigger deal than Christmas/Hanukkah.

We averaged $133/kid.

Part of what increased our budget over prior years was finding a Wii and Mario Kart, which was the boys big gift to share. ($300) We then spent $100 on individual gifts for the three boys.
