How Much Do You Ladies Charge to Haunt the Castle? -- Departure Day up (See index

Looks like y'all had a nice ending to the day at EPCOT!

Can't wait to hear what y'all did instead of going to a park!

Well I am a little...no a lot late for your TR, but I am now caught up now.

Love your review, looks like you had fun especially after all that happened.

**hugs** even though I don't know you, you still get some hugs from me.

Thanks for sharing!

Wow! Y'all were really getting a lot done in EPCOT that day! :thumbsup2

All of the World Showcase pictures are great! I think my favorite is Mark in the bear get-up. :rotfl2: Glad the rain finally started to go away but I hope it didn't come back. That chocolate cake looks delicious!!

Thanks, Amanda. I really enjoy WS, and that chocolate cake WAS delicious.

Finally, all caught up! Boy, go to work for a day and you can get so far behind here.:rotfl:Awesome updates! Loved your stop in France. Grand Marnier slushie :cool1: I tried the Lemon Grey Goose this fall. Should have stuck with the orange one!

What a bummer that it rained on you all day. Thankfully there are so many indoor spots in Epcot that one can still have a great time.

Sorry I made you get far behind...I really have to get this done in 27 days and I'm not sure I can.

I didn't like the Grey Goose; I prefr my Grand Mariner. :)

Epcot is a good place for rain because you can dash in somewhere at almost any place you are at.

:banana::banana::banana: for being at 30 days
:hourglass will fly now!!!!!!!!!!!

hope you can do Pick a pearl in December, would make a nice christmas gift :goodvibes

Marv better start :duck: if he is going to make such remarks about our sweet Kathy!

Now that I'm responding, we're at 37 days. :crazy2:

Ooooh....I'll suggest the pick-a-pearl to Mark for my Christmas present. :)

Yes, Marv, don't pick on sweet Kathy.

I LOVE the T shirt. That is SO cute! Wow - he is going to LOVE it!

Did I also comment how much I love the Mine, mine, mine T shirts. They are too cute. You should have worn them on the same day so you could have been all "match-matchy"

Love the picture of the troll inside Maelstrom. I have never gotten than picture successfully.

Loved following you around the world showcase. What a great afternoon, even if it is raining. :goodvibes

Thanks, MEK. Nicki got the t-shirts this week and said they look great.

We did wear our Mine-Mine shirts on the same day. :confused3

That's the first time I got the troll.

Yay for 30!!!!!!

Thanks...I can't believe how fast it is coming.

I wish I knew how to get out of Japan without doing Pick A Pearl, but I always do it! I know I will again in a few weeks too! :rotfl:

Wow...you do it every time? I really have to do it at least once.

With Mark being as much of a Disney lover as you, I would not go alone either.

I enjoy meeting up with other DISers, makes the trip so much more fun to be there with others who really "get it". :goodvibes

Pat, it's hard enough doing the "girls" trip without him. And Mary booked our June trip today. Shall I tell you all where we are staying?

Love the PP pics! Showing them to Todd, he said you guys are a couple of hams and we are going to be the eggs that sit on the side :lmao:

I think he is getting prepared for all the character pictures we are going to take

Todd: Kathy says I have to do that, characters are their favorite part

Me: I know and you must listen to her

Todd: I know, she told me :rotfl:

Me: You will love it

Todd: Anything to make you two happy. You girls are in charge remember?

Me: You say that now

Todd: Just feed me, I will be fine

Told ya, as long as he is snacking he is putty in our hands!

First off YAY 30 days!!!! Second, that chocolate mousse cake looks A-MAZE-ING (yes I know I spelt it wrong lol). I may have to find one of those this weekend! Loving your tour of the World Showcase! It is my goal to get back there during Holidays around the World and hear all the stories from the Holiday story tellers. We ran out of time the last time I was there.

I think I missed you...think you are at Disney and hope you are having a great time.

I don't think we'll get all the storytellers, but would like to get as many as we can.

I would rather get stuck on Gran Fiesta Tour than on It's a Small World. There's only so long I can take the song before feeling like I have to hurl myself into the water. :rotfl2:

I would not have been able to resist the Ditch......but I DO drink tequila. :rotfl:

That panda hat is awesome! Who'd of thunk...a hat and gloves!!!

Morocco is absolutely a beautiful pavilion. It's my favorite!

You have a point about Gran Fiesta v. It's A Small World.

I have never acquired a taste for tequila. I'm not sure if that is good or bad.

Morocco is my favorite pavilion in World Showcase. I love the atmosphere and the music. I can sit and listen to Mo Rockin' for hours!

Must get a Grand Marnier Slushie when I'm there. I see those in so many TR's!

I've never seen the movies in France or China and they are on my must do list for the upcoming trip.

Awww, the ducks are so cute! I'm one of the bad ones that would have snuck them some food. I know you are not supposed to but how can you resist those faces?

Yes, you must get the Grand Mariner slushie; just a little warning, drink it slow. ;)

I must be honest and say I snuck the ducks a french fry after we were done. ::yes::

You've been posting faster than I can read this week. :lmao:

I love the World Showcase. The pictures are a welcome sight this morning.

I thought your take on It's a Small Mexico was kind of funny. I have to say it isn't one of my favorites, but I do enjoy the Mexico pavillion, so for a chance to sit down and relax with no wait ever, it's always a good one to hit. And DS seems to love it, so that helps.

I'm sorry you were stuck inside for 40 minutes, but at least you were inside when the worst of the rain hit. It is just a shame that you missed out on a lot of the cultural experiences around the WS due to the rain.

I've never hit the alcohol vendors up in France yet. I might have to change that. I would like to try one of those orange slushes.

Sorry, Andy...but I really have to get this done. I'm glad I could brighten your morning with pictures of World Showcase.

I love the Mexican pavillion (although not as much as Morocco).

Yes, I'd rather be stuck inside than drenched outside with wet, squishy shoes.

You must try a slushie in December. I'll even buy you one if we are at Epcot at the same time. :goodvibes

You've got to rub his belly!

(I don't know if it's for luck or whatever, but I'll bet he likes it.)

I rubbed his belly last year and posted the picture and I believe it was Marv who went somewhere with that. :rolleyes2

I like this picture. It says, "Woe to the person getting in between me and my slushie." :rotfl2:

I knew you were a smart man!

Seems almost appropriate, given your t-shirts.

Now that's funny. :rotfl:

No, no, no....you've got it all wrong -- you're facing the wrong way! ;)

Other than that, great update! :)

That's right...you always take yours "backwards." ;)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed.

Good thing this is a waist up shot, umm never mind, this is a family site here on the DIS.....:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Oh my...you had me rolling on the floor!

You guys did a great job reacting properly to the magic shots! I usually look cheesy or not at all how I'm supposed to be looking. :rotfl:

I always worry that I'll look like an idiot in the magic shots. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Wow! Love all the photopass pics, Kathy!
You definitely saw a lot of characters and got quite a few magic shots. :thumbsup2 Hard to pick a favourite! :confused3

It was the year of "new characters" and getting more photopass photos thanast time.

Love them all! My favorite one is the night one at Epcot with you two sitting and smooching!

That's one of my favorite too...love the coloring.

There's a lot of kissing and hugging going on in those photopass pictures! :thumbsup2 Very nice and a great variety of shots. You guys look like you are having way too much fun! :goodvibes

Yes, there was a LOT of kissing going on. At one point I told the photographer I needed to stop and catch my breath. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

We had a blast, and the best is we get to do it all over again in 27 days.

Kathy, the Photopass pictures are soooo good! Lots of smiles, smooching and hugging going on in them.! :thumbsup2

We had great photographers this go round and had lots of fun.

Hey Kathy - I've been subscribed for a while but I'm just now getting around to catching up!

So here's all my catch-up notes:
1. I'm sorry to hear about your loss of Mark's Mom. I know it had been a tough couple of months, my sympathies.
2. I hope your Mom is doing better.
3. It looks like you've lost some weight. If not, you're still looking fantastic!
4. Bummer on the snarky CMs at OKW. Hopefully it got better after the first day. (Oh, it looks like you called Disney about it. Good!)
5. Hah! Geoff won't do Tower either. I love it though! ...he also won't do EE with me. I conveniently forgot to tell him the first time that it went backwards. He won't forgive me.
6. I keep meaning to get to Tusker House. Have you ever been for lunch?
7. Isn't Maelstrom creepy when you have the boat to yourself?!
8. I'm right there with you. I love Voices of Liberty. I've taken to going in and just listening to them and not staying for the American Adventure. (Mostly because I have the entire show memorized...)
9. Love the shirts! Hopefully he'll be good and surprised!

...and I'm caught up finally! :yay:

ETA: Darn it! I missed the Photopass pics! You have so many good ones, but I love this one! You both look so sweet.

Hi, Kelly. I'm so glad you are here.

1. Thanks
2. Mom is doing much better...such a relief.
3. I have lost some weight for the wedding, but the way Nicki is talking about our eating next month, I'll gain it all back.
4. Yes I did contact Disney and they gave us a credit.
5. The backwards part on EE is what kills me.
6. No, this was our first ever visit at Tusker House.
7. Now that you mention it, it is a little creepy...probably because it is loud
8. We love VOL as I said; we do the American Adventure usually every other year.
9. I think he will be surprised...as long as I keep my mouth shut.

Thanks...glad you enjoyed the PP pictures. More of those to come.

OMG!!! I love all those pictures - you are both so romantic!

And Alli would just DIE over that UP picture of you... We seriously hunted every single park, every single day to try to find Dug and Russell... I sure hope they are there when we go again - it would make her year!

D~

Thanks, D.

The UP picture was taken right outside of It's Tough to be a Bug at AK. I hope they are there for Ali.

:goodvibes my, my Miss Kathy...that's a whole lot of kissing going on...maybe you should start a new game "kissing around the world" :goodvibes
you got some great magic shots too!

Oooh...what a good idea--kissing around the world. I better bring the chapstick.

Thanks. :)

My goodness! Did you two ever think about getting a room?
Oh wait a minute, you had one at OKW.....:rotfl2:
I think my Marc and I only have one or two pictures doing the smootchie, smootchie....

Anyway, great photo pass pics! Looks like you were having a great time!

Yes, we did have a room (although it took awhile to get it :lmao::lmao:). Seriously, I couldn't believe how many times we were asked to "kiss."

We were having a great time.

My countdown looks just like yours but we are at 44 days. Some day we need to get down together. I know we would have fun hanging out!

I think we would have a blast together. I've yet to meet a DISer I didn't love.

You did good on the Photopass pictures. :thumbsup2

Nothing wrong with showing a little smootchie.

Some of those PP photographers are good about the magic shots - Some you have to ask. :confused3

I have not seen the Frog one.

So nice you are relaxing and having a good time.

So close for the next one..... I am excited for you. Can't wait until the reveal of the surprise.

Thanks, Pat. Nothing wrong with smootchie if you get a chance to brreathe.

I often asked for the magic shots. The frog one I didn't know about until they explained it to us.

I can't believe it is only 27 (well, almost 26 since today is almost over) days away.

I agree with you about Morocco.....it's the prettiest pavilion!

I love all of the Photopass pictures! They are all really cute and sweet!! :goodvibes

Isn't it, Amanda? The tiles, the colors, etc.

Thanks...glad you liked them.

Great photopass pictures you got :)

Thank you so much.

Hope you brought your chapstick Kathy...lots of making out :flower3:

I LOVE the Photopass pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cloud9:

I wish I'd had my chapstick. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thank you. :goodvibes

Love all of the Photopass pictures! I think my favorite is the one with the DHS sign.

Oh, and not sure how I missed it before but I have that Dumbo shirt you are wearing at MK!

Thanks; I got that Dumbo shirt at Target.

Lots of great Photopass pictures! But couldn't Disney work on editing the dumb crane out? :rotfl2:

Thanks, Mark. And we had TWO cranes later in the trip at the MK. :headache:

Wow, it doesn't take long to fall way behind again around here!!!

I wish I could say the same about your TR. :lmao::lmao:

Haven't spent much time at all in Morocco. Maybe I need to put that on the To-Do list. Still need to try one of those slushies too..... :drinking1

You must explore more of Morocco...it's lovely; and the slushie is heavenly.

Some really great Photopass pictures, but it seems there was a theme developing there! :love2: I almost had to cover an eye....... :rolleyes1

Yes, a theme...after 29 years...still in love as if it were the first day....well, most of the time anyway.

I really liked the one in front of the castle at night and the one of you two wearing the sombreros in Mexico, plus all the balloon shots and all of the editing you did to add borders! :yay: But why didn't you pucker on up while you were in practice and kiss that frog??? :confused3

I don't kiss frogs...yuck.

Also loved the pictures of you and Mark both trying on the DHS Sorcerer Mickey icon hat!!! :thumbsup2 That thing is definitely big enough to fit both of your heads....... ;)

You are too funny.

I finally found your TR ( I had pm'd you about Sept crowds a while back ) and am all caught up!

I'm so glad you found me! Thank you for joining...I'm thrilled to have you here.

"behind" way to throw that in about the picture.:rotfl:

Okay...I'm missing something here. :confused3

I haven't been able to catch up on the whole trip, but I spied the photopass pictures.

Adorable! I love that your husband gets feels the magic too! :)

:welcome::welcome: Thank you so much for stopping in, and I hope you'll stick around.

My husband is an "older" man with a kids heart. Thank God!

There's only one thing to say after that batch of Photopass pics...

Get a room! (No, that's not it.)

Very nice! :thumbsup2 (Yeah, that's more like it.)

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Thanks, Glenn. We had so much fun doing them.

Love the Photo Pass pictures. You can tell after all those trips to WDW you both just love the place. And where better to celebrate your anniversary at than in Disney World. :thumbsup2

By the way we have a date for our long awaited trip to WDW. My daughter will be going with her high school marching band to WDW 11/29/13-12/4/13. So mom and dad will be going the same time but adding a couple of days. We will see her march but we really will not see her the week we are down there after that. She will be staying at the Embassy Suites and I think we are going to stay at the WL. In a way it will be fun just the wife and I. :)

Thank you, my friend. You are right...we do love it and have no desire to go elsewhere. And can't wait for grandbabies to share it with them.

Oooh...we might try to make it an annual "trip" for the holidays (well, after Mark finds out about the upcoming one). Maybe we can work it out to be there at least one of the days you are there. We would LOVE to meet you.

WL???? Now that's not a surprise.

nice way to end your evening!

love the hats in Canada!

hmm, wonder where Mark went on Spaceship earth, guess he headed out to space :lmao:

great shot of grandpa's ball again :goodvibes

Thanks, Lisa. It was the perfect ending to an almost perfect day.

Mark "often" goes out to space. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Wow, what a lot of fabulous photopass shots! Love all the kissing pics and I can't believe how many extra magic ones you got. I was entirely robbed on those this last trip except for the party.

For some reason the Mexico one really makes me smile.

Grandpa's ball is only 4 weeks away! :cool1:

Thank you, Cynthia. I've learned you really have to ask for the magic shots...they don't always offer them.

Less than 4 weeks now to Grandpa's ball. :)

Mine! Mine! Mine! I need that shirt! :rotfl2:

Okay, the Incredibles picture...OMG. I'm not even going to say anything, but I love it. Thank you for sharing.

The shirt is awesome and I don't think it was too expensive.

I've never seen the Incredibles and didn't even know who the other character was. :confused3

I think the Bear and Moose hats in Canada are my favorite so far!

That picture of SE at the end is FANTASTIC! :goodvibes

Thanks; I was rather partial to that moose hat.

I had the same partner on my last ride on SE, but I was alone. :confused3 An Alien must have grabbed Mark. :rotfl:

And I agree - get a room!

Maybe Stitch grabbed Mark?????

I had a room by then. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Love all your photopass photos !! Fun stuff !! And all of Mark's hat photos as well. Looking forward to more !!

Susan

Thanks, Susan. We really did well with photos this year.

:scared1::scared1: Someone stole Mark!!!!

:lmao::lmao:

Pat, there are days I wish someone would steal him. ;) But not until after his surprise trip, now.

Great photopass pics! You two were making out all over the place! ;)

I've never seen the kissing frog magic shot, and I love it!

Yes, we were making out. We have to show you young people that it can still be done at our advancing age. :flower3:

The frog magic shot was done as you walk down the path past Crystal Palace towards Adventureland.

Morning Kathy, Love, love all the pictures you and Mark are such a cute couple!! I am so enjoying your report just keep it coming please! Elaine:)

Hi, Elaine, how have you been? I've missed you lately.

Thanks for saying we are a cute couple at our age.

More will come on Monday (I don't think I can get an update done this weekend).

Uh oh. This sounds ominous. Maybe they couldn't fit the moose hat in the SE picture? :confused3:rotfl:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Good one, Mark.

You guys are so adorable i had tears in my eyes!!!

Awww....that is very sweet of you; thank you.

Looks like y'all had a nice ending to the day at EPCOT!

Can't wait to hear what y'all did instead of going to a park!

Amanda, it really was the perfect ending to our day at Epcot.

Well I am a little...no a lot late for your TR, but I am now caught up now.

Love your review, looks like you had fun especially after all that happened.

**hugs** even though I don't know you, you still get some hugs from me.

Thanks for sharing!

:wave2::welcome: I'm thrilled to have another new reader. You really aren't that far behind...I still have three days left at Disney and then our week at Marco which is Disney related in my eyes because I spend it with my best friend who I met here on the DIS!

I'm glad you are enjoying the TR. It was a great trip to ease the pain of the previous months.

And I love hugs...so thank you. And here is one for you too.

Great photopass photos!

Thanks! :cloud9:

I love all the pp pics!!!

Thanks, Ann. Hope you are doing well...haven't seen you in awhile.

Love the PP pics! Showing them to Todd, he said you guys are a couple of hams and we are going to be the eggs that sit on the side :lmao:

Oh, Toddleduck, you are so silly. You could never be "eggs on the side." I have to have a picture of just me and Todd!

Todd doesn't know it yet, but this will be his best trip ever. He's going to have so much fun with you and me, and him and Mark will go and do their own thing drinking their beer or whatever.

And I promise we will feed Todd a lot.

Thanks for all the nice and funny remarks on my last couple of updates. I'm sorry it took so long to respond.

Mark and I took today off as we needed a new hot water thank. $1600 later, we then hit the mall as I needed new jeans for the trip (although I just told him I needed new jeans) and I had a coupon at Yankee Candle and got some Christmas scented candles. But why is it something always breaks right before vacation?????

I don't think I'll get an update done over the weekend. House to clean, Christmas lights to hang on the house (it's going to be 65 degrees tomorrow and much easier to do when it is warmer than colder; we just don't turn them on until after Thanksgiving). Also, I'm having my mom over for dinner on Sunday as my brother is going to the Bears game on Sunday and it's a night game. Plus, I'm meeting an old, dear friend for a drink after dinner (he's had cancer off and on for the last several years and I've not seen him in awhile). Plus, I have to catch up on all of your TR's. :goodvibes

I will leave you with the news that Mary (MaryAZ) texted me today and booked our "girls" trip for June. Now I just have to get the days off from work. She booked June 6 - 12. I probably won't be able to fly until Friday, the 7th, and then I'll go home on an afternoon flight on the 12th. I have to go to Dubuque the next day....seems there is a wedding that weekend. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

bummer about the hot water tank .... not a fun purchase

hope your get everything done on your list and enjoy dinner with your mom!

yah, you'd better not miss the wedding, you'd have some explaining to do :rotfl: "well you see Markie, Mickey wanted me to stay and play a bit longer " :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

New water tank? So no fun to have to buy before a trip!
New yeans for Mark's surprise trip? Much more fun.
And having ANOTHER trip in the works ......... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 Guess June is going to be one really busy week for you!
:goodvibes

OH no about the water heater... I just mentioned that in my PTR yesterday - I think ours is dying... Thankfully we have a few weeks left of the warranty. Unfortunately, we have such hard water that the average life span for a water heater in our town is only 6-7 years. :( Even though we have a whole house filter as the first thing after the meter - we still manage to get rocks and sediment in our tank????

Whoot for booking a girls trip!!! You will have so much fun! I need one of those - seriously!

D~

Better than it breaking on your return! We came home from a cruise one February (when we lived up North) and our furnace stopped working...it was 36 degrees in the house! :scared:

One of our new neighbors was putting up their Christmas decorations yesterday. Because you know, it's getting colder (it's been in the low-70s lately.) :lmao:

OHHHHH BOY!!!!!!:cheer2:
Where are you going to be staying????
We will be back at the parks, on the 8th until the 15th.
Maybe we could plan a meal and swim day at Beach Club!!!!
Sooo excited that we get to meet....
