I'm planning on bringing about $700 and thinking that that will be enough. Am I missing something? I'm going with a friend for 5 full days and only need enough for my own expenses. Already have theme park tickets, plane tickets and prepaid hotel room. I planned for $50 per day for food, $200 for souveniers, $80 for waterpark tickets (I'm paying for both of us on this one), $30 for Mears to/from the airport, and about $100 "just in case" money. How much do you usually spend?
:jumping1:

If you are going to be there after May 5 you could use the Magic Express to save on Mears. It is FREE!

I am bringing 600.00 for 2 of us. That is just spending since we have a package that includes 2 meals and a snack.

Did you look at deb's site www.allearsnet.com for the menus that will help you get an idea of what food costs.

Hope I helped

Sounds like you have more than enough, especially if you are not doing a lot of table service meals. I don't believe we have spent more than $60 a day on food for our whole family (Myself, DH, and DS3) unless we did a table service meal.

We're going for 5 nights/6 days and are bringing about $700 for the two of us. Mostly for food. We eat one big meal a day then counterservice when we get hungry. We really don't do souveniers anymore.

This is our very first trip to WDW, so that is why I am planning on splurging. We are probably going to do one sit-down meal a day (except for the day we spend at the water park). Also, I have more disposable income than my friend does, so if it starts getting expensive, I'll pay for some of her stuff.

I'm going with my boyfriend and we are planning on bringing $1000 ($500/pp) for 7 days. This is only for food and souvenirs since everything else will be paid for. We plan on eating about 3 (maybe 4 the most) sit down meals. We also have credit cards for the 'just incase' moments. Should we plan on bringing more???

Erica, I don't think you should worry, because the first year my BF went we brought $1,000 spending money and were fine. We even had some money left over (which was good since driving home the side of his car ripped off, LONG STORY!!! :earseek: )

2nd year we bought $1,500 and still had to pay for hotel--that was a little tight.

This year we are bring $1,900 in JUST spending money, but that is b/c we have been saving hard-core and ALSO because I hope to go to the Coach Outlet store :lovestruc and ,y BF wants to buy some Disney Globes.

But yes, you should be fine Erica!!! :teeth:

Melissa,

Thanks for easing my mind regarding spending money! I was about to rebudget and start saving an extra $500-$1000 (before we go in July)...

Hope you have a great trip!

Erica

I don't remember what we spent exactly
used the room key and dh paid the final tab
but I know that some day swere more expensive than others and I think you will be fine (I want to say we had allonted 2k for a 10 day trip for 4 of us and we came home with $ even after buying everything we wanted.)

AHHH I LOVE THE COACH OUTLET STORE!! hahaha sorry I just saw that and I am the biggest Coach teen ever! Lol.. I am planning next on getting a signature khaki Coach Belt and shoes to match for Disney in May :) :)
But i usually don't find anything I like too much at the outlet store and have only gotten one thing there so far but one time my sis got the fuchsia coach messenger bag for $138 :o :o :o Nice deal right there!

I'd also suggest just bringing less cash and using a charge card that gets you airline miles for your next trip!

I only bring $25 per day cash for my family of 3. I use credit card and then pay off when we return. The $25 per day is simply for vending cart items (popcorn, soft drink and ice cream.) If they accept credit that is what I use. It is so much easier then carrying a load of cash around.
