How much should I ask for kids books? Is there a different price for hardcover vs. softcover? These are all little kids books and very early reader books. What about coloring books and preschool workbooks?
Thanks.

I usually price to sell at yard sales...so I'd say 50 cents a book. Maybe $1 for nice hard covers.

We charge 25 cents for softcover, 50 cents for hardcover. But kids books can vary widely- anything special might get a $1 price sticker.

Okay, thanks. That's what I was thinking for pricing. Just wanted to be sure I was in line with going prices. Our sale is this Saturday - can't wait to clear out this stuff!:lovestruc

Well, as a big yard saler goer, I won't pay more than 25 cents for a kid's book. Unless it is something really nice..hardback with dustjacket, great shape, then up to a dollar. And really, for little stuff a dime is about right.

We also are having a garage sale this Friday and Saturday.
I usually charge 25-50 cents for paper back and .50-1.00 for hard cover.
Good luck on your sale.
I want to make some Disney Dream money for our Dec. trip

Coloring books are usually no more than a dime. Or maybe 12 for $1.

I agree with the others on 25 - 50 cents for paperbacks and 50 cents to $1 for hardbacks. Maybe a couple of bucks for very expensive books.
