How much can you walk around the DLP resort?

I was looking at the DLP Resort maps on the official web site and I couldn't tell how much you can walk around the resorts. I'll need to walk to and from these places:

- Train station to Santa Fe Hotel
- Train station to the parks
- Kyraid Hotel to Santa Fe Hotel and the parks

Is it possible to walk back and forth from these places, or will it be too hazardous to do so because of traffic? If not, can I catch a taxi or shuttle? I believe the Kyraid Hotel has a shuttle to and from the parks.

The train station to Santa fe is a nice, scenic 10-15 minute walk through the village and past the lake. There is a shuttle bus if you don't fancy the walk or if you have lots of luggage. You will only have to cross one road (I think!) and that isn't busy.

The train station is literally 2 minutes from the park. No roads to worry about at all!

Kyraid to santa fe would be quite a long walk (though possible) I'd definetly get the shuttle.

Totally agree with you.
Take the shutlle bus from Kyriad, the rest you can walk easely.

I recall Elaine (Ware Bear) walked from Explorer to the park, which would have been past the Santa Fe so it is possible :)

Take a look at http://maps.google.co.uk Type in disneyland resort paris (press enter) then click the hybrid button. You can zoom in quite nicely. I think the kyriad in located in the building site at about 2 o'clock just outside the disney circular ring road.

If you don't fancy the walk, the shuttle to the Kyriad (and all the other hotels) goes from outside the station. There is some bus information in the Useful Info thread. :)

We did the walk from the park to the Explorer Hotel a couple of time, took us around 25/30 minutes. Other times if the shuttle bus to our hotel was full we hopped onto the Santa Fe one and walked from there. Very pleasant walk actually.

Yes, especially if you've overindulged in the restaurants! :rotfl:

We even found we beat the shuttle bus a couple of times, honest we weren't running! :rotfl2:

I really enjoy the walk actually - the walk from santa fe/cheyenne is a lovely fresh walk in the morning, really perks you up :)

also if need be, you can get a taxi to the santa fe or kyriad, i've had to do this myself in winter time as i arrived late - to my recollection i think it was 10 euros (yes, 10 euros) from the train station to the santa fe : \ not too impressed!!

Thank you again for the information! I'm more concerned with the walk from the train station to Santa Fe.

You can get a shuttle bus from the statation to the hotel or as stated it is no more than a 15 minute walk :)

From the train station to the Santa Fe: with luggage: take the FREE shuttle!! It runs until 11 pm.

No luggage, and no feet that hurt from a day in the parks: you go through the Village, by the Hotel New York and Sequoia Lodge (other side of the river), under the bridge (road) to the Cheyenne and then over the bridge (water) to the Santa Fe. If you still need to check in, you have to cross the WHOLE Santa Fe.

From train station to parks: like everyone, you have to walk, it's a two minutes walk. All the busses drop you off at the train station.

No idea for the Kyriad, but it has shuttles.

Oh, in the evening, if you have to go to the Santa Fe, you can also take the bus to teh Cheyenne, and then walk from there to teh santa Fe. Depending from where your room is, that is sometimes even closer, and you don't have to wait for your bus!! (the same works in the morning!)

When do the shuttle buses start running from the train station to Santa Fe? Is there a schedule online?

This is from the official DLRP site

"A Disneyland® Resort Paris shuttle service (yellow buses) will take you free of charge, 7 days a week, between 6.30 and 23.00 (1.00 when Disneyland® Park closes at 23.00) to anywhere in the site, leaving every 12 minutes" :)

Thank you!

I just hope the shuttle stop at the train station is clearly marked!

If you mean for the Santa Fe and the Kyriad - you shouldn't have any problem. As you exit the station and walk toward the buses, the Santa Fe is the first stop on the left hand side (for all the yellow buses) and the Kyriad (and the other Val de France hotels) is the first stop on the right hand side (the pink and other buses). And here is the layout.

Can anyone tell me when the Yellow Buses start and finish? I have arthritis and have a habit of overestimating my energy levels. I wouln't want to miss the last bus home!

Here you are Nikki. :goodvibes

Ta for that. I wondered.

One more question: does the shuttle bus travel from the Kyraid Hotel to Santa Fe? If it does, I can stay at the Kyraid the first night and then shuffle to the Santa Fe the next.
