How much can you get done w/ EE?

We are going to Disneyland in a week and a half. We plan on using our EE on Tues. Aug. 23. I was wondering how much of FL we can get done before the parks open and it gets crowded. I purchased Ridemax but it doesn't do EE. Any suggestions on which rides to do during EE to avoid lines later? TIA

You should be able to do just about ALL of Fantasyland (except the couple of rides that aren't open) during EE as long as you do Peter and the Matterhorn first, and you get in fast. I'd recommend getting to the gates a good 15-20 minutes before opening.
I recommend something like this if your really want to do all of the FL rides:
Peter, Matterhorn, Dumbo, Alice, Mr. Toad, Carrousel, Snow White, Pinocchio, Tea Cups, and Small World. Buzz and SM are also open but you can do those with FastPass later. We no longer do Small World (except during the holidays), but I would save it for last or even a little later in the day since it has a high flow rate and eats up a lot of time.

I think that it is possible to get alot done from reading some of the trip reports and posts recently.
We had early admission way back in the day when it was provided to onsite hotel guests before the 50th...like 1998 or so before they took it away altogether, I am actually excited to have it back!

You can get alot done if you get there early....I would do the rounds in Fantasyland, and try to get other rides done that doesn't utilize fast pass.

Hi, we did EE last week on Mon Aug 1 with four boys of our own! Nominally the FL rides are open, as well as some of the TL rides such as Space Mtn, Buzz Lightyear and the Astro Orbiters. I would advise not going on Space or Buzz during EE because you can get FastPasses for these (after official opening time) and ride them later in the day with a short line.

We planned to get to the gate at 6:30AM for 7AM EE, but did not get there until 6:45. Still, we were about the 10th group in line and were thru the gates a few minutes after 7AM. We got on the following seven rides during EE, in the following order:

Peter Pan
Dumbo
Alice in Wonderland
Matterhorn, FL side
Mad Tea Party
Mr Toad's Wild Ride
Snow White's Scary Adventure

We could have squeezed in one more, but I wanted to get over to Space Mtn to get FastPasses when the FP machines opened at 8AM. So we headed out of FL at about 7:57AM.

Note that doing Peter Pan and Dumbo first are recommended because the lines can get really long later in the day, and even during EE.

The EE was great - I agree that Matterhorn /Peter Pan should be done first. We were able to ride Matterhorn twice before the lines stacked up.


I would just like to note that on our EE -- besides Fantasyland -- Star Tours, Space Mountain, AstroOrbiter and Buzz were open. I cannot comment on Autopia. We rode Buzz before nailing down Matterhorn. We could see folks running for Space Mountain. Star Tours certainly was open by 745 AM (but I am not sure wheter it was open at 7 AM.

We opted to do Toontown Madness on a day we did not have EE -- we were just eating up all the short lines. Toontown Madness was great - it is always a good thing not to wait in lines to see the characters!

We did EE last Tuesday, the 9th.
We did these rides, in this order:

Peter Pan
Mr. Toad's
Dumbo
Matterhorn
Tea Cups
Alice in Wonderland
Pinocchio

Then we headed over to ToonTown for their Morning ToonTown Madness.

The word is that they do not open these for EE. When we did EE Aug 1, they were not open.

Don't forget that Dumbo, the Carousel and Teacups have gold vehicles, and if you want to ride them then EE is the best way . . . there was no way in the world we could have got them all in if we had not been there at 7am!!

I don't know what I was thinking....I have been to the World many times and thought..."oh, I know what Early Entry is all about". How dumb was that!!! I was one of those people that thought ALL major rides were open (just like the World) instead of just the 2 lands (Fantasy and Tomarrowland). So there we were standing in line tlaking about how we were going to rush over to Splash and Big Thunder 1st then head over to Space. Can you imagine the people in the line by us, what they were thinking about us

So by the time we were clued into what was going on, we were able to do a few of the Fantasyland rides before everyone else was let in. Space was also closed that morning for some reason....so we spent to much time running there to find out it was closed!

So the lesson learned....RESEARCH EVERYTHING...even if you think you already know about it

Mon, Tue, Thurs, Sat. Usually.

FYI, certain times of the year they change these. For example, this May and June DL hosted "grad nights", which are open something like 1AM to 6AM. The day after a grad night, they did not have EE.

We did EE in 2001 when they had it. My favorite memory was walking down an empty Main Street. I let my son who was almost 2 walk freely down the street. He kept toddling from one storefront to another, back and forth across the street, pointing at all the window displays. Incredible experience!

Definatly do Peter Pan first. When we were thier a couple weeks ago that ride had a long line all day. We made the mistake of not doing Peter Pan first on out first EE morning. Luckily since we were staying at the GC, we got to use EE two more times during our trip. We didn't make that mistake again.
