4 days of eating at Disney, Oct 20 - Oct 23, and here are some quick observations.
Coronado Springs - I am surprised other WDW resorts have not adopted the "food court" model they have here at the Pepper Market . It was so nice to get hot food, sit down and eat it and then pay on the way out. Only tried breakfast. It was good but pricey. Grade: B
Grab and go area food was also good but always busy and not cheap. Grade: B
Cinderella's Table - dinner here was surprisingly great. Had read mixed reviews. We all had the beef which was fantastic. Our waiter brought us an extra shrimp appetizer when he saw my daughter liked them and an extra dessert for my son when he wanted to try the pumpkin creme brulee (special dessert that was not on the menu). All 4 of us LOVED this meal. We all left full and would have been happy even without the princesses! Grade: A
Hoop De Doo Review - I have been here twice before and did not go back for the food - but again I was pleasantly surprised! The chicken was moist and the ribs were meaty. We don't care for the type of beans they serve but the potatoes and corn were also hot and tasty. Another A.
Epcot's Food and Wine Festival - Since we had the two kids we did not partake in any of the adult beverages, but we tried many food items:
Family favorite - potstickers from China - A+
Pork sliders from Hawaii - A -
Chicken Slouvaki from Greece - B+
Cheddar Cheese Soup from Canada - A
Shrimp Tacos from Mexico - B
Pierogies from Poland - B
Shrimp from Australia - B-
Apple Strudel from Germany - A
Sausage in a pretzel from Germany - B
Ravioli Di Formaggio ... - A-
Wolgang Puck Express - DTD
We have eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. It is cooked fresh but service is pretty quick. Once again we left happy. Tried Spaghetti and Meatballs, had a pizza with meatballs and onions, mac and cheese and a salad. There was one slice of pizza left at the end! Grade: A
Those are the highlights!
What's another 5 pounds between fiends!
