How many wears do you get out of an iron-on tshirt??

I got the best iron-ons (Amy's).
Just wondering how many times people are able to wear their t shirts before they start to crack or peel??

Funny you should ask that question. I made a couple of shirts for my boys with the Wilton iron-ons (dummy me didn't read the reviews here on the DIS boards first) and they started cracking and peeling after they had only worn them once and BEFORE I had even washed them. You get what you pay for????

I just received some transfers from Amy in the mail today and I can't wait to try them out because the reviews for them are great!!! Anyone out there who can testify as to how many wears you get out of Amy's transfers before they start peeling?

I have some that have gotten washed weekly and only after about a year are they showing signs of little cracks. So averaging that out, probably about 45 - 50 wears.

(I should also say that my tshirts get washed and dried with the normal laundry - no special treatment)

I only use Amy's transfers and we've washed some of our 15-20 times and there is no sign of wear. It is so worth the little extra. Some of our shirts are going to be making another appearance at WDW next year because the transfers have worn so well.

I find it depends on the design. If my design is a big square or rectangle it seems to wrinkle very quickly - sometimes after only one or two washes. When the design is smaller or irregular in shape it lasts a lot longer for me. I have made loads of shirts for my boys using different name designs (Kelly's, Michelle's, and others). I always cut around the letters instead of having a background. Those shirts last for months.
