How Many Times can I go to Disney in a Year??? Multiple 2011/2012 PTRs (Updated 10/1)

Introduction - Annual Pass Here I Come!!!​

Hello and Welcome to my first PTR on the DISboards!!
I have been a member on here since my last trip to WDW back in the summer of 2010 and I have loved reading everyone else's PTRs and TRs and I couldn't wait to have a trip so I could make one of my own!!!

Like the title says... I will be making multiple trips to Disney World this year! Most likely I will be getting an annual pass!!!

So let's go over a few things! Here come the five W's!!!
(so I know they are typically in Who, What, When, Where, Why... but I'm going to take them out of order so it makes a little more sense)

WHY?
This past summer my sister got an offer she couldn't refuse: she got a full ride to get her MBA at the University of Tampa! Since we live in PA, it was of course a little hard for me to say goodbye to her and my other sister who went with her, but I loved that she was moving to Florida, a place that I'd be happy going to visit her at! Plus, her apartment to the WDW gates is 55 minutes! So this PTR will mostly be filled with trips anywhere from day trips and up, but most should be around 2 or 3 days!

WHO?
Well I'm not really sure who else will be joining us in all of these trips, but people like my mom and my best friends will probably come up a few times.

The tree definite will be:

ME! A 16 year old Junior in High School. I'm a cheerleader and dancer and also a closet Disney World freak! Yup, most people don't know just HOW much I LOOOOVE Disney, and that will probably come up multiple times in this PTR!
My favorite Park is.... I DON'T KNOW! I honestly can't decide! I'd have to give it to Magic Kingdom though just because there is absolutely no better feeling in this world than walking down Main Street and seeing the Castle!!!! AAAHH!!! Just typing that gives me the chills. My favorite ride is.... of course Toy Story Midway Mania! I love this ride and totally get the wait! It is so much fun and I've been lucky to ride it quite a few times! My favorite Princess.... CINDERELLA!!! I don't know why but I absolutely LOVE her and I am determined to get a picture with her sometime this year! As for favorite Disney memories... well I'll get into this later but I'll just say right now that I NEED to make some new ones this year....

MY SISTERS!
Gab and Ashley! Two of my favorite people on this entire world! They will most likely be a part of all of my trips because HEY! missing them is my excuse for going! (not that I don't miss them with all of my heart too!) Gab is my actual sister and Ashley has been her best friend since as long as I can remember. Ash is more than like a sister to me and I will normally refer to her as one!

WHEN?

Well trip #1 is a definite:
I am flying into Tampa December 16 and leaving December 19
We are either going to spend one or two nights at Disney (so either two or three days)
Not sure where we are staying yet...

Trip #2 is also a definite, I'm just not sure the dates or when we will actually be in Disney... Gab's spring break is a the first full week of March so we plan on spending some portion of that week down there. In addition to Disney, we also really want to go to Phillies Spring Training in Clearwater, which is about half an hour from the girls' apartment! (Huge Phillies Phans here!!! Thank God we clinched the NL East before that AWFUL losing streak)

As for the rest of the trips, nothing is really solid yet:

I'd like to spend a weekend in Disney for my birthday next summer so hopefully that will work out! I'd love for my friends to come down with me, but I'd be okay with just Gab, Ash, and me too! It all depends on our family vacation plans for next year and how many airline miles my dad has saved up (he travels almost every week for business and he is pretty good about letting me use some of his miles once in awhile... I love those free flights!!!)

Another trip would possibly be next Labor Day, after hearing all the stories about how the parks were dead this time this year I am so tempted to go!

And then most likely another trip around Thanksgiving or early December next year, to use my pass once more before it runs out!

So we'll see about those trips so for now we will focus on the first two! My December trip is in 81 DAYS!!!!

Ok, I have to go to dance now but when I get home I should be able to get an update in!

Previous Disney Trips!!

Ok so I figured that I would officially start this PTR with going over my past trips to WDW. I have been very fortunate to go many times over my sixteen years!!

When I was younger my grandmother moved to Florida for the winter so we would go visit her (and Mickey) every year! Obviously, I don't remember these trips at all, but I'm sure they were great

Then, when I was 5 we stopped going on these annual trips. Instead we went for a week in May. We did this same thing again when I was 6. May was such a great time to go with low crowds and nice weather! I remember a little bit of these trips but not too much!

Then, the unthinkable happened... I went 5 years without going to Disney

Then, in October of 2006 I was 11 years old and my dad had to go to a convention in Orlando, so my mom and I went with him! I remember my parents telling me how much I loved Disney when I was younger, but I didn't remember anything! All that I really remembered was the Castle and maybe Spaceship Earth a little. Once we got there, my absolute love of Disney began and continues to this day! I was so captivated by the pure magic of the World and I fell in love

The next October my dad went to the same convention and my mom and I went with him again! I remember seeing the ads for MNSSHP all over during these October trips, but at the time I had no idea what is was or why I'd want to go, haha!!!! if only I could smack some sense into my 12 year old self!!!

This trip was also the first time I got to my absolute favorite and most magical event at WDW... Seeing Wishes from the California Grill! Leading up to the trip my parents would tell me how amazing it was, but that could not even prepare me for it! I remember getting off the special elevator for the first time and seeing the panoramic views of the Magic Kingdom! My catchphrase for awhile after that was "Fireworks at EYE LEVEL" ahhhh, I get the chills just thinking about it! Definitely one of my happy places at the happiEST place on earth
I have been fortunate to eat there again twice, I even picked it as my birthday dinner on our trip last summer (but more on that trip later).

Next trip: March of 2008, My mother, me, my mom's friend, her daughter, and my mom's other friend. This was the trip where I learned to go commando. My mom's one friend has been going to Disney once a year forever! She taught me so much about Fastpass and time management on this trip!!! She also taught me how to pack the entire World into a long weekend!!! I will always think of her as the one who taught me how to be commando!

Ok, last two trips, both in the summer of 2010. The first one was to celebrate my 15th birthday. I worked on convincing my parents for months to let me take my one extremely good friends. When they finally agreed and everything was booked I was so excited! We had a great time
Then, a month later, I went to the World with her family. Now her family is very much different than mine and it was a little uncomfortable but we still had fun.

Now comes the bad part. These trips are really hard for me to think about because this friend and I had a very bad "breakup" and are no longer friends. It was very nasty and we don't even acknowledge each other any more. Needless to say, the memories from my last two trips are very sour. One of my main goals this coming year is to make new memories from the ones she soiled. Now I know that I might seem like I'm making too big of a deal of this, but if anyone knows what it's like to think someone was your best friend in the world and then watch the friendship shatter, well it was extremely tough on me. But thankfully it made me realize who my true friends are and I also made a new group of best friends that I now want to make Disney memories with!!!

So we have a nice group of things going on in all these past trips but there's one thing that is missing... I've never stayed onsite at Disney! For as much as a Disney freak as I claim to be, this is a huge chunk of WDW that I have never experienced! I pretty much know everything about every one of the hotels but I really want to stay at one!!! Hopefully by the end of next year I will have stayed at a couple!

OK, that's enough for this update a little. It took me forever to write because I'm watching the MLB playoffs at the same time! GO PHILLIES!!!!!

Another Trip???​

So I decided to get in an update before I go to bed. But it's a short one.

I might be going to Disney with my two best friends next summer!!!!

So long story short: Every year my school runs a trip that the Juniors and Seniors can go on. This year they are going to Greece. My friend Meghann and I really wanted to go, but we would only go if our friend Taylor came. So when we asked Taylor's dad about it he said he really didn't want us to go because there is a lot of bad things happening in Greece. So instead he said if we dropped Greece he would take us anywhere within driving distance. So after awhile of discussions somehow Disney came up. It's a pretty long drive, about 18 hours but we all loved the idea! I think it is probably going to happen!!!

As for where we may stay, well Taylor and her family have stayed at AKL before and she mentioned wanting to go back, but it really could be anywhere, but we are going to try and stay onsite!!!

As for Meghann, she's never been to Disney before! I've always wanted to go with someone to Disney for there first time! I'm so excited to see all of her reactions to everything!

And as for me... I'm just really excited!!!! But the only bad thing is, I'm kind of a closet Disney freak... not really anyone knows just HOW obsessed I am. So she's talking about researching everything and maybe getting a travel agent and I'm just like "yea, I could plan everything in like ten minutes. no need for research, I pretty much know everything there is to know..." But I haven't said anything like that because I don't know how she'd react or whatever...

Oh well! I'm going to Disney!!! And staying onsite!!! Dream come true!!!!

Coming Up: Not really sure, we'll see what happens....

Oh and by the way, I saw the views and there was alot more than the one person who posted, please post!!! Even if you really hate this! My biggest fear about writing TRs and PTRs was if no one replied to them So yea, posting would really help my self esteem
