How many stay at home resort verses other?

Just wondering how many people stay at your home resort verses the non home resort.

We joined in April 2008 and so far have stayed in SSR (our home resort), OKW, and Kidani. We'll be staying at VWL in October and SSR again in December. We have been very happy at each of the resorts in which we've stayed. Our goal is to try all of the resorts!

We have owned since 2005. I have only stayed one night in my home resort. I am trying to stay at a different one each time. I seem to make re-appareances at VWL for some reason. I guess it is my favorite and my family doesn't really care where we stay. Trying BLT this November though. I'm sure I will get back to SSR for an extended stay sometimes.

I just bought BWV and BCV in the past year and have stayed at AKV and am staying at BWV in a couple of weeks. Am just buying more points at VWL but plan to spend a lot of time at AKV - love Kidani!

I own at BWV and have stayed at every WDW DVC except SSR and BLT. Just stayed at AKV in June, planning BWV for December.

I have not stayed ay my Home Resort (OKW) in about 8 years.

We have stayed at every DVC Resort except for VWL and have 2 DVC stays coming up this month. BLT and Kindani (2nd time for Kindani)

I have only stayed at my home resorts. I have structured our DVC portfolio with a certain number of points at four home resorts.
In other words, we structured our DVC purchases to where we wanted to stay, and how long we wanted to stay there. We have used some points at the Poly however..

Roughly 25 DVC visits since 2002, and so far have only used home resort points and booked at 11 months.

We stay at our home resort about 85% of the time. We love our resort, location and it does really feel like a home away from home to us. We are giving Kidani a try for 2 of our 7 day trip in October.At first we were going to try for 3 nights at 7 months but we knew we would be missing the Boardwalk so only 2.I am not a huge fan of split stays but I would not want to go to WDW and not spend any time at BWV !!

We have owned since 2006 and this is our 4th DVC trip coming up in December, but our first at our home resort SSR! We have stayed at VWL, BCV and BWV and were happy with all of our stays so far

We try to stay at our home resort, VWL as often as possible, but will take what we can get, except BWV. We really didn't like it there. It is strange for us to not like a Disney Resort, but we didn't care for it at all.

We bought in this past winter because of BLT. Our plan is to stay at BLT every trip but may do split stays so we can try the other DVC resorts out for a few nights.

This past August, for our first trip, we stayed BWV, VWL, and BLT. We liked VWL (and might try that again someday) but not BWV.

Will be heading back to BLT next summer!!

We bought in 2004 and have stayed at our home SSR several times - have also tried most of the others with the exception of VAKL and BLT - we hope to eventually try all the resorts - we don't really care where we stay as so far we have enjoyed all the Disney resorts!

We just bought in May at SSR and our first trip home will be next October. Not only do we plan to stay at our home resort but are going to do a spilt stay between the THV and SSR. Can't wait!!!

Purchased DVC in May 2004 ... looking forward to first "home resort" visit in Dec of this year. Generally our visits are not in our home resort.

I always book at our home resort (BWV) at 11 months to make sure I have a reservation somewhere I like. If I decide I would like to stay somewhere else, then I change later. We like to bounce around to experience all the resorts (including VB).

That's almost exactly what we've done too. We have points at 3 resorts, OKW, BCV, and HHI. The most at OKW for a 1 BR for DH and myself. Then fewer for BCV, where I only need a studio for my solo trip every year, then the least points at HHI for every other year Thanksgiving trip (alternate years we'll pay cash since MC is fairly inexpensive).
Although I've stayed at other DVC resorts, it's mostly been because it was a last minute trip and one of our home resorts wasn't available. Sometimes, though, it's just been to try something different. But I keep returning home!

We bought at SSR, and then made the mistake of staying at BWV for our 1st DVC (kids wanted to try that darn slide lol) stay and we fell in love with it! We have never stayed at SSR and will eventually add on at BWV. Have stayed at OKW and will stay for the 1st time at AKV/Kidani this Christmas. We really like SSR too but staying at BWV is so darn central to so much! Shawn

We joined 2 yrs ago and stayed at home resort once (AKV), VWL once and VB twice. Part of the reason is that we like doing beach vacations and don't want every trip to be to DW. We do non-Disney vacations too. But we bought at BLT this summer and our next DW trip will be to stay there!

About half at home resort (SSR) but have stayed at VWL OKW and BWV
Next trip might try for AKV or VWL again. BLT just don't interest me at all.
Would love to do the tree house villas. We just don't have a need for such a big place. It's only Melissa and Me.
