How many shot have you taken in Disney???

I will be in Disney in 12 days! I am unsure if I have enough memory cards. I have been shooting raw and plan on doing it in Disney. Last year on vacation in New Hampshire I took 2500 picture (jpeg) but it’s no Disney. I have enough memory for 4000 shots (raw). Should I shot jpeg some of the time or order some more memory cards?

Wow! I thought my 800+ was bad! With photopass, I had just under 1000 for 10 days.

Depends on a lot of things- your shooting style, how many days you will be there, what you are doing each day, etc. I take a _lot_ of pictures (probably too many), RAW, and use between 8-20 gb/day. I bring my laptop and empty the cards each night. My opinion is that it is better to have more memory than worry about running out. Have fun!

Memory is dirt cheap even for quality cards. I wish I could have some of my original dslr shot in raw. My vote is to get some more cards and shoot raw unless you hate post processing.

On our last trip (10 days), I had over 3,500 RAW + JPEG. Each day I downloaded the cards to my laptop and portable external hard drive. Then I re-formatted the cards. That way they were saved in two different locations and each day I started fresh. I brought five 8gb cards.

If you buy today or this weekend, you should find some great deals on slower cards. If you don't do video and don't do alot of continous shooting beyond 10 or 20 shots at a time, you'll be find with a slower class 4 card. Right now is the time to buy because of black friday sales.

That being said, I'd say take at least 4 16G cards with you. I carry about 3 times that much on a regular basis, but typically never shoot more than about 40G, even for events.

Of course, you'll want a spare card just for the time you leave your memory card in your computer in the room!

I can't say that I've shot more than 400 a day before but your mileage may vary. I am just moving up to RAW so I ordered a couple more cards. adorama has some 8gb compact flash cards for $17.

My old 300d is only 6.3mp so I should be ok. I will have about 20gb of flash cards with me.

Just ordered a few more 16g class 10 memory cards. So at this point I am good for about 7000 shots (raw). I thought about bringing my lap top but I don't want to carry any more than I need. I know 7000 shot sounds nuts but I rather be safe than sorry. There are few photo walk going on the week I am there also
