Using your Sizzix? Being new to this toy I'm not really sure how to use it. In fact I haven't taken it out of the box yet, I hope to do this tonight.

But, I was wonder how many letters can you get out of a 12 x 12 piece of paper? I'm trying to determine if Ihave enough to do what I have in mind for the fall borders.

Also, how do you pre-cut your paper to get the most out of it?

WOW!! I feel like the new kid on the block.

I know when I go to the scrapbook store to use their die cutter, I cut my paper down to little squares big enough to just cover the letter. I got Irish Dance Recital 2003 out of my 12x12 and that was including the shadows behind the letters. I think I still had some paper left over. maggie

I don't know because I usually just do my titles and use the rest for matting. Sorry I can't help more!

A lot. I usually cut the paper into 4" width and twist & turn the dies to get as many cuts out of the paper as possible. I don't let any of it go to waste.

I also usually only cut either the letter or the shadow out of the paper, not both out of the same sheet. For instance, if I'm using yellow with a blue shadow, I'll position the die on the yellow paper so that only the letter is cut (or the die on the blue paper so only the shadow is cut).

But, sorry, I don't have an actual number off the top of my head since it's been a while since I used my shadow letters.

is to cut the paper into the 4' width or so -
then I actaully space it nicely and punch the letters out in order - so that the actual stip can be a boarder too! Just put coordinating paper behind it!
doe you know what I mean here?
I have to dp albums for bolth kids so this has worked out good for me!
But you can do a LOT of letter with a 12X12 - a few less of the shadows though!
