How many restaurants are on Disney property?

Does anyone know how many restaurants there are on Disney property including the theme parks, hotels and Downtown Disney? One source online said 139 but that actually sounds low to me.

I'm giving a presentation next weekend on planning your Disney vacation and I thought that would be a fun fact to toss out.

I'll bet that will be one of the easiest and most enjoyable presentations you will ever give! How fun!

If no one pops in with an exact number you could always say "about 150 restaurants" or something that is not exact.

1) This can a tricky question.
2) So, ground rules
. . . includes all resorts, parks, water parks, DTD, ESPN
. . . includes stand-up and sitdown snack locations
. . . includes sitdown table service
. . . includes permanent kiosks
. . . excludes mobile and rolling carts

3) And the number is (music and drum rolls, please) = 438
4) Breakdown
. . . MK, EP, AK, DHS = 176
. . . BB, TL, DTD, BW, ESPN = 72
. . . All WDW-owned Resorts = 137
. . . SOG, Swan, Dolphin = 19
. . . Downtown Disney Hotels = 34

NOTE: Now, how is THAT for obscure trivia ????

I come up with 81 that are full service or buffet. This includes 63 on DDP, Bistro, V&A, 6 in Swolphin, 3 in Hilton DTD and 7 in the other Hotel Plaza restaurants.

Plus, according to the DDP Brochure, there are 80 Quick Service locations.

But I did not count anything other than full-meal locations.

Thanks everyone. I like the 438 number. I knew the 139 couldn't possibly be right. And I would include snack locations because many people will graze their way around the parks rather than having a meal all in one spot, especially walking around World Showcase.

Much as I like the slushie stand in France, I would not consider that a viable option for a meal. :rotfl2:

Thanks everyone. I like the 438 number.

    1) I went directly off the employee Hub (website).
    2) I also counted park-by-park and resort-by-resort.
. . . did not care if it was on DDP or not
. . . did not care whether full meals or snacking, just if it had food
. . . only cared if there was food
. . . did not include snack-type carts as ice cream or slushies to me are not food

If you are going right off the hub, that would be 544 food service locations on Disney World property.

    1) Ah, yes.
    2) But, the Hub list is imperfect.
    3) As an example, it still has Pleasure Island Clubs.
    . . . Adventure's Club
    . . . 8Trax
    . . . Motion
    . . . etc
    4) One must
    . . . pull off defunct eateries
. . . pull off kiosks with no food (like France wine kiosk)
. . . pull off bars with no food service (many do serve food, some don't)
. . . pull off food carts that are just snacks, like popcorn & soda
