I was just looking at my PS's for this trip and I think I have to many.

Here's what I have planned:
CRT
PSB
H & V (Fantasmic package)
Rainforest Cafe (AK)
Crystal Palace (lunch)
Chef Mickey's (Dinner)
Ohana

We will be there for 10 days. I think I just like worrying about something:rolleyes:

How many do you guys usually have in a trip?

I make a PS for dinner every night and then one or two character breakfasts. We like having a nice sit down dinner every night, so I like to have the PS all set up ahead of time. Then, I can plan the rest of the day/evening around where we will be having dinner that night.

I really like the character meals. It lets me see the characters and eat without a wait.

Is there any great restaurant that you would recommend that I don't have listed?

Thanks

..I doubt very much we'll use them. I figure I can cancel them the day of the PS if we know we're not going to use them. Of the 11 nites,I only have 3 so far!!!! I better get movin'!!

We make one per day, usually for lunch. Two full service meals per day is just too much food for us...we are natural grazers and eat a little here and there instead.

I make a PS for any restaurant I really want to have a meal at. Some days we have a breakfast, some days a dinner, some days both and some days just lunch.

We make atleast 1 per day...and 1 character Breakfast(per trip). Hey, I don't see LeCellier on your list?!;)

We will be there for 7 days and we have 7 PS booked. They are not scheduled for 1 PS each day. We will have a few days where we have 2 PS scheduled and some days where we have none. I agree that it is better to make them while you can and then cancel if you decide not to eat there.

I make at least one everyday and some days we have two. I do this for several reasons. First, I am food and planning obsessed, lol. Second, if I don't make the plans no one else will and we will stand around discussing what to eat for 30 minutes or more (it happens on other vacations all the time). Third, I like to have a general idea of how much money to allot for food budget so this helps keep the budget in check. Finally, we go at 'busy' times and don't want to find only counter service food available which I could mostly do without.

Hmmm, now I need to fit in LeCellier for lunch;)

Thanks for the tip Aspiring Cindy

I think half of the fun is planning. I really enjoy planning WDW trips. I'm really excited now that I can start making ressies.

If my whole family is going, I make at least two per day...often three. Planning and anticipating the great meals is half the fun for me.:D

I make 10-12 PS's for a 6 day trip. My itinerary is already planned out of Sept.

We usually had 2 per day. We don't snack/graze while in the parks. Enjoying sitdown meals is a part of the vacation. We sometime share food among the 3 of us. We saw too many people being turned away without PSes during last week (a peak season). We enjoy character meals.

We usually do several character breakfasts each trip. Then on the days we've done a big breakfast, we book a late lunch someplace. Usually around 3:30/4:00. Then we grab a snack when we get back to our resort. Otherwise we have a light breakfast, light lunch and then big dinner. Our favorites...
Chef Mickeys, Artist Point, Kona Cafe, 50's Prime Time, Garden Grill, Alfredo's, Donald's Breakfastasaurus, Crystal Palace.

Man, on our honeymoon my wife referred to the bookings I made as a military schedule! :teeth:

We seriously had *EVERY* meal booked, as well as fireworks cruises, parasailing and also the WL flag family. It was nuts.

I have since been "ordered" to take it easier! :hyper: :hyper:

I try to stick to 1 PS a day as they put you on a time constraint!
If you decide to do more.... try and stick with Breakfast and dinner as it gives you tons of time in betwen and you can just snack until the next meal!
Unfortunately this next trip I have booked a Wonderland Tea for my disabled DD the same day as our Dinner at Park Fare with Cinderella. So it'll be big time rushing. 1:30 - 2:30 Tea.... back to MK 3:00 - 5:15 then dinner at GF @ 5:40pm..... agghhhh!

Yep, usually one a day. And the only day I don't have a ps for, is our shopping day which is 'open'. However, it may not be planned, but I'm already trying to decide between KOBE Japanese steakhouse and Giordano's Italian for that day! ;)

I think I operate better on a schedule, than not. I have already looked through menus on Deb Wills site and figred out which counter service restaurants we want to try out.

We are flexible, so that if something happens or we change our minds we go with the flow:D , but I generally like having everything planned out.

My DH laughs at my Itiniraries. He thanks me when we're leaving the park at 11:30 am, and we've ridden lots of rides.

I have planned a few more sit down restaurants this time, but with a DD1 and DD4, I think we'll need those breaks.

Can you post your park itinerary too, so that it's easier to critique? So far, the choices sound super! I don't think you've overplanned AT ALL! :smooth:

Our group did an itinerary for our trip and we scheduled one PS each day. With 7 of us, we wanted to have a plan so that when we get there we are not scratching our heads wondering what to do next but we also didn't want to be too tied down with too many plans.

We made sure to leave an open day, no EMH days in row, and a nap or rest break each day also. I hope our plan works.
