How many pets do you have?

I ask because I swore I saw someone here (I forget who) that said they had 16 (???) cats! wow!

I have 4 cats

I am wondering who holds the DIS record for Most Pets!

And if you have no pets...why? Allergic? Not allowed? Just don't want' em/like 'em?

3 doggies: 2 Jack Russells and one new "unplanned" puppy who is a black lab mix. Dh just recently found her abandoned where he works.

Yes I'm in first place so far,

I have 3 dogs...Sadie, Lady and Tramp but my mom also has 2 dogs and since she lives in a little apartment in our house they are technically in my house....they are Macey and Precious.

So thats 5 dogs even if 2 are on a technicality....

But my BABIES are my 8 cats...they never step a paw outside and they are rotten beyond belief....they sleep in the bed with us and have no restricted areas which means if they want on the dining room table or kitchen counter they go there! They are just like my children.

They are Cairo, Mindy-Lou, Diamond, Cinders, Lester, Isis, Dootsie and Meeko!!

We've only got the one dog, Duncan, but I want more!! We live in a condo and there are so many restrictions on pets. (Even though we own the darn thing.) So no more animals for many years to come. Poor Dunc.. an only child.

When all my 5 kids were living at home we had 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rats, 5 horses, 1 pot-bellied pig, 1 rabbit, and 2 goldfish. Now with only two kids left at home we only have 1 dog. He is one lucky dog too because he is spoiled rotten.

We lived out in the country though and had lots of cats and dogs dumped on us. We wormed them, immunized them, spayed/neutered them and found them homes. Once we had a dog (golden retriever) dumped on us that had 8 puppies the next day so I guess we have had more pets than I thought. Mama dog and all puppies got great homes though within 8 weeks so I didn't count her or the other animals that were dumped. (She had heartworms and so that cost us some big $)

We have 2 cats and a ferret. We moved to an apartment about a year ago when we moved to Sparks, and had to get rid of our 2 dogs and one of our ferrets died, he was about 8 or 9, that's old for a ferret. We found really great homes for both our dogs. Our chocolate lab went where there were 4 yellow labs. He looked real out of place. And our other one went to a small ranch with horses and other animals. They had a goat, and that's the only animal he would go near. Kinda funny. So before we moved here we had 2 cats, 2 ferrets, and 2 dogs.

Well count me in! I have the 3rd Meeko cat on this thread! LOL!!!

I have 4 cats of my own and one kitten that I found abandoned that I am trying to find a home for. They are popcorn, bebe, meeko, and Lilo, the other one is Minnie.

I currently have 4 dogs - Jerry, Elaine, Kramer and George.

I did have a couple of fish, but they somehow ended up in the blender...kids do the darndest things...

I don't even want to get into the whole cat in the microwave incident.

I have one cat, Nala. A Jack Russell named Rascal and a pomeranian/chihuaha mix. I can't even spell that! LOL! Her name is Zoe, Two parakeets and a pond full of various fish.

or, and about 20-30 crickets on any given day (to feed the lizard) do they count?

Actually I have had several cats but they have all since departed.

I thought this was only about current pets?
