I am just wondering how many people they seat at a table for diner? Theere will be 6 in our group and we were just wondering if there will be anyone else at our table or if we will have it to ourselves. Thanks for your help. :hourglass

There are tables seating every number from 2 to I think 10. If you're with a group as large as 6, I doubt you'll get seated with anyone else. Last DCL cruise I went on, our group of five got sat with a group of four, but they never showed up/changed times and we ended up sitting on our own.

We had 9 in our group the first time we went and there was room for 10...so it shouldnt be a problem

there was only 4 of us. DH, myself, our 2 DSs. and they had us seating by ourselves. we liked that. although it would've been a whole new experience if we were seated with other people...which would've been fine too. so we'll see what happens this time around... :flower:

Us too, with our two DD's. We liked being by ourselves, but I was a bit disappointed we didn't get to dine with anyone else.

Tables seat from 4 to 14. I KNOW about the table for 14 because I've sat at that table (near the center of the restaurants). There were 5 families at the table and none of the families knew each other before the cruise. It was a blast - a lot of great and fun people. Our kids got to know the other kids, same with the adults. We would try to sit next to someone different at each dinner. BUT... if you were at one end of the table it was almost impossible to talk to the people at the other end so everyone took turns at the ends of the table.

Our first sailing there was just us. We were alone at a table of 4 our next two we linked ressies with another couple and had a table of 6. Last sailing (last November) we (4 of us) went with another family of 8. We had a table of 5 for us and a table of 7 for them.....they were more than happy to move 8 and 4.

The bottom line is to call DCL and tell them what you'd like. Tables can be in many different variations--we've been at everything from 2 of us at a table for 4 to a table for 18.

If you want just your family seated alone, call DCL and tell them that. They will do everything possible to meet your request. If you want to be with another family, tell them that also. If you don't make a request, it will be up to the magic of the computer.

BTW, we were asked before we were seated at the table for 18. It actually turned out to be a wonderful (or should I say Magical) experience as DD became the honorary big sister for the group and the little ones were fighting over who got to sit on her lap, etc.
