How many people on 1 DAS?

I will be traveling with my family is summer. 3 out of 6 of us qualify for a DAS. In the past we just got 1 for my youngest. But that doesn't work well since we all want to ride different things.
Last time I got 1 and my youngest had 1. Depending on who was going to ride would depend on whose we used. Like if all of us rode we used his. Sometimes just him and his brother would ride. We used mine if my youngest wasn't with us. Now I think it might be easier with it linked to our magic bands. I'm wondering if the 3 of us that qualify and all be linked to it and all 6 members of the family be on 1 DAS. That way we can split up if we want or all ride if we want. For example I use mine for my daughter and I to meet ANna and Elsa. My youngest uses his to ride 7DMT with his dad Nd brothers at the same time.
Hope this makes sense.

I believe including the person with the DAS it is 6 people.. but I have heard they will sometime make exceptions to that rule.. not sure if that is still true or not .. I'm guessing it is at the discretion of the CM at GR.

When you get the DAS, they will need all the bands or tickets for the group - up to six people standard, but exceptions are made if needed. If 3 people are given the DAS, then put everyone on all 3. When you go to an attraction to get a return time, you have to let the CM know who will be riding with the person with the DAS. Those people will be tagged and will not be able to be a part of another DAS time until the initial time is used.

The DAS is personal and individual -- 1 DAS issued to 1 person for that person's needs. Standard rules allow for up to 5 guests to ride along with the DAS holder; it may be possible for a larger group with approval from Guest Relations. You are correct that the DAS is now on the MagicBand (or ticket media) and you will need to have all MBs (or tickets) for the group when you initially request the DAS at Guest Relations.

Each individual in your family who needs a DAS should get one issued for him/herself, and list the full family as guests. If you wish to split up, just be aware that each of you may only have 1 DAS return time assigned at any given time. So if you and DD get a DAS for A&E that is in 60 minutes, while you are waiting neither of you can ride 7DMT on your son's DAS. You can do standby, but you cannot ride on another person's DAS if you have a return time assigned for yourself. If you are all going on the same ride, each will get the time assigned.

Enjoy your vacation!

Ok that will work perfect. Thanks. I just wanted to make sure that we could all ride with any combination of people. We just don't know who will want to ride with who at any given time. I think this system will be perfect.

You have to make the decision when you go up to request a return time - but guests can exchange bands if needed. For example, Mom is on the return time with child 1's DAS, and Dad is on another return time with child 2's DAS. All of a sudden, child 1 has to have Dad instead of Mom. Parents exchange bands. The only person who has to have a specific band is the DAS user, as the photo will show up when scanned.

I doubt we would change our minds once scanned. But thanks for the tip

I meant switch bands before the scan for entry into the FP+ queue, but after getting the DAS time. You never now what might come up in the time you have to wait (especially if it's more than an hour). When you go up to the CM to get a DAS time, you have to let the CM know who is going on that attraction with the DAS holder. So if you pick Mom, but then when you go back later after the time elapses and child has a need for Dad to go instead of Mom, you just switch Mom and Dad's bands.
