How many people are switching their ressie to the new POLY DVC studios?

We will try it trip after next (March/April is our next) but it will probably just be a split. I also want to try VGF eventually too.

Yes, we will switch for our one day after the cruise on May 1st.. The timing is good since May 1st switches to the lower rate. I've got to try it, but we have reservations at SSR, I wouldn't trade our VGF nights.

Not us, we're staying with the VGF. I'm in the minority, but the Poly just doesn't do a whole lot for me. :)

We're not going till Oct, but I am going to try and switch to a monorail resort for the first week of the trip. Poly would be my third choice after BLT and VGF .

Not this year. Maybe next year.

We have 4 nights at HH in May and 10 nights (7 nights BCV & 3 nights SSR) for October F &W.

Our next trip is during the Epcot F&W Festival. We're going to keep our BCV reservation because of that. Someday, though, we hope to try a studio at the Poly. Just like we're still hoping to eventually get into VGF to try it out. Our waitlists there have never come through on the several times we've tried. I suspect PVB will be the same for quite some time.

I have read Tikimans updates on construction but I am still unsure when the DVC construction will be all over. How many phases and what are the completion dates? I would also like to know about the quiet pool....I read that it will close when the volcano pool opens. Is that accurate? If anyone could sum it up for me I would be most appreciative. When will the walls come down completely and the Poly will look like the Poly? Thinking of trying to get a night or two in August....or even the whole trip there but I need more information to make a decision.

Thanks for any information you may provide...:)

We stayed at BLT right after opening and it was a mistake.

They were still working on some of the resort, the place smelled like paint and glue and there were problems with the hot water and air conditioning, they were finishing the landscaping and worst of all the CM's had no idea about BLT.

The front desk couldn't answer questions and bell services got lost trying to take us to our room. After checking in the Bellman offered to get us some ice, took our ice bucket and never returned.

I would wait until the place is finished, CM's trained, and the landscaping filled in.

Yes.

We have 9 nights booked at BCV this June....will try to get the first 3 switched to the POLY. We stayed at AKV right after it opened in 2007. There were a few glitches in that the CM at AKL really knew nothing about how DVC works. It did not bother us much.

9 nights is a lot at one place anyway. We used to do a AKV/BCV split to break up the trip. Hoping for the Poly this time!

I did think about it for our summer trip this year, but I would rather wait until everything is all finished.:goodvibes

That makes perfect sense. I am not chomping at the bit either. Eventually I am sure we will try it like we eventually tried BLT.

We most likely try for a studio 2 nights of split stay in Dec...:santa:
If not this year, no biggie...Always time to try it!:thumbsup2

I am on the fence. Trying to decide if 4 gals would be happier in a 2 bedroom at BWV or 2 connecting studios at the Poly. If it were DH and myself, I would go with the Poly. I'm going to see if there are connecting studios first...no connecting studios available, well, we'll gladly stay at BWV.

Definetely BWV for a girls trip. Nightlife and Epcot!!!

We have a 1BR res checking in 5/30 at the beach club and wanted to get there a day early so we aren't traveling on the day our week long reservation starts. I am anxiously wanting to book the poly, but my husband and mom aren't thrilled about the idea. The problem is there will be 6 of us, me and my husband our 20 month old and 3 month old, and my mom and dad. I'm nervous that a 1BR for the week is going to feel too small, so a studio would be awful. I'd guess we'd need 2 connecting, but we can get an OKW 1BR 12 points cheaper.
