I bring sneakers for walking around, flip flops for the resort and dress sandals for going out to dinner.

Although this past trip in July, my sneakers were killing me, so one day I wore my flip flops to the parks and never looked back. I'm a convert. I don't think I'll ever bring sneakers again. :thumbsup2

I'll take about 4 pair like I usually do. The more time I take taking care of my feet the happier I am! :thumbsup2

2 pair of walking shoes (running shoes), I switch off mid-day with fresh socks and my feet say ahhhhhhhhhh!!

1 pair of flip flop type sandals for pool side.

1 pair of water shoes for the water parks.

I may bring a 5th pair of nice dressy shoes for an evening at a fancier restaurant.

One pair of Reefs and one pair of worn in sneakers. No need for anything more.

DH and I always fight about this. I feel like you can never bring too many pairs! :teeth: I bring 2 pairs of sneakers, a pair of keens, 2 pairs of flip flops, nice pair of sandals and I will be bringing my Croc flip flops this time!! :bounce: :bounce:

I think I'm the only person around who only takes one pair - even DH takes 3 (walking, runnning, and sandals.) My kids both take two (sandals and tennies.) My one are a pair of Keen Newports - they are AMAZING for walking around the parks all day - but also great for wearing to the pool (waterproof.) If I ever felt bad about the price I dont anymore - I have worn them almost non-stop for 3 years and they show no real signs of wear. Plus, I love not packing any shoes!!! (Since I'm wearing them!) :)

Me too. I always alternate my shoes, as well. Never wear the same ones 2 days running - and they are worn in, never new. I am afraid to say I don't know what Crocs are :confused3 (they haven't migrated Down Under yet, as far as I know), but everyone seems to rave about them. I will have to check them out when I get there!!!

2 pair of flip flops for me, and that's it!! (One's a true pair of flips, the other are slide w/o the thingie between the toes. Can't do the thingie with all that walking!!)

Unless it's winter when we leave MI for FL, then I'll wear down my tennis shoes and pack my flippies.

I'm just updating my post with a picture! We did buy ds his first pair of crocs yesterday. He loves them! I still can't convince dh to take the crocs plunge.

Pixie Dust, your picture is so cute! Thanks for posting!

And thanks to everyone who's voted so far! Looks like most people take 3 to 4 pairs. My Mother is only planning on taking 2, and thought I was a bit off for thinking about taking 4. So at least now I know I'm not far off the mark.

If you haven't voted, please do! I have about a month to go before I pack! :Pinkbounc

Thanks!

When I went last March, I took a pair of sneakers and a pair of flip-flops. I pretty much live in flip-flops year round, so by day two, the sneakers were killing me. My third day (in Epcot), I started out in flip-flops and then switched to sneakers later in the day.

Even though I hate sneakers, I once broke my big toe and it still hurts if I don't have enough support.

My next trip I'll have sneakers, Crocs and flip-flops.

When I took my son and D-I-L last Sept I had planned to take only a pair of Teva flip flops, Teva sandals, and one pair of Croc Beach. However my D-I-L and I wear the same size shoes. She came over the weekend before we left and I swear brought every piece of summer clothing she owned and asked me to help her match up outfits for everyday we were going to be gone. She nearly freaked when I told her I was just going to be carrying one pair of Crocs, screeching that she had planned for us to switch out Crocs as we needed them. Anyway I told her that if she wanted some of my other Crocs she could pack them. She packed five pair of my shoes and I'm not sure how many of her own.

I usually pack a pair of Croc Beach, a pair of Teva Mush flip flops, and then one or two other pairs (usually Reef flip flops and/or another pair of Crocs). I usually wind up in my Teva Mush flip flops most of the trip though. Just love them!

You can order them on line, but let me warn you, they do look ugly. But after a time they grown on you and I don't think they are as ugly now as I did initially. Looks are so deceiving anyway, they feel great on your feet and since I first started viewing the board I have purchased 4 beach Crocs, 1 nile and 1 athens style and even convinced my DS16 to get a pair (beach - black). I understand there is a Croc store in the Orlando International Airport. :Pinkbounc

Yesterday I tried to go to a store here listed on the Crocs website, only to find out they had closed :guilty: I wanted to get another style and color to match my shorts better. Since I'm about a month away, I think it may be too late to order them . . .

I bring 5 or 6 pairs for myself. I like sandals and like to change from my park type sandals to an evening sandal for dinner.

If you want basic Caymans, go to Dick's Sporting Goods. They have several colors on their website, and best of all shipping (and return shipping) is free!

There is also a "hip" shoe store that sells Crocs. They actually had the Mary Janes and Primas in stock at the store. Not sure where you are from, but it is called "Journeys". You find them in shopping malls.

Thanks for the info, BUT the styles I want - Professional and Aspen - are only on the site. After holding on for 18mins, because I couldn't order through their site, they informed me that their computers are down, and they can't take orders either :guilty: On the other sites that offer free shipping, the shoes are a few bucks higher. So it comes out cheaper to just order from them (I'm getting 3 pair, 2 for me, 1 for mom, so shipping is free).
So I'll try tomorrow. Time is slipping by . . .

Do flippy-flops count? If so than the average amount of shoes I bring to WDW, or anywhere for that matter, is 7-8
A girl needs var-i-atay! :cool1:

Unless you've tried them before and like them, I would advise not getting the Aspens. I have them and do NOT like them. One of the great things about most Crocs is that your feet don't get sweaty. Since these have no holes, the same does not hold true for them. As mentioned, I have them - and NEVER wear them.
