If I were a SAHM mom I probably wouldn't have many shoes either. I go through phases, shoes, scarves, throws (Man, I love throws), pajamas, nail polish, on and on and on....I will go forever without buying something then it seems I need to buy multiles of whatever it is.

I teach preschool. No need for pumps and knee high boots Seriously though, I wear either khaki pants or black or gray pants to school. I have black flats and brown flats. That is what I wear to school. I do have some black dress boots but I only wear those when we go out somewhere. I have a pair of black pumps that I bought to wear to a function last year and have not worn them since. I have one pair of Uggs and a pair of sneakers. And then quite a few pair of flip flops (cheap ones) that I wear only in warm weather.

If I worked in a field that required me to dress, I would probably own more shoes.

I have very few pairs if shoes :/

Probably about 5 pairs of flip flops... Black and Brown Uggs for Winter and Fall...snow shoveling boots, a pair of nicer riding boots and a pair of sneakers.

If I need dress shoes or heels I usually just get a pair to match the outfit and give them away.

I HATE shoe clutter!

I've worn all of these in the last year. I also have another couple dozen pairs I can't get rid of yet, they are in great shape and I might need them again! I do purge and replace worn out shoes. I'm totally guilty of buying the same shoe in brown and black. I have 4-5 sets that way.

I own exactly 3 pairs of shoes: my New Balance shoes which I wear every day of my life, some dressy black Crocs for when I absolutely HAVE to wear something dressy (they are not comfortable), and a pair of good sandals. That's it. That's all. I wish I could wear pretty shoes again.

I'm a SAHM in a small town... It is a very casual lifestyle. I live in jeans 98% of the time, and I only wear shoes when necessary. And I do all my shoe shopping online because the only store that has shoes at all in my town is Kmart. That really cuts down on impulse buying - I stick to the brands and styles that I'm familiar with in terms of fit and size.

I also have the option of "cheating" when the rare dressy occasion does come up - my tween daughter and I wear the same size, and she's got a few cute pairs if I feel like something a little less plain than my basic black heels. She's probably got a dozen pairs of shoes even though she only wears her running shoes and her uniform shoes in a typical week.

10 pairs totally impractical and never worn but awesome and generally sparkly high heels--two left over from high school homecomings/proms (gold and silver) and 8 pairs of the DSW Cinderella shoes, bought last spring when DSW finally clearanced them.

So 35 pairs in total. I would own considerably more shoes, specifically flats, if I was not on a college student no-shoes-for-you budget.
