I can't tell you how heartbroken I am not to have my wedding there but it was way too much money.....besides our wedding will have elements of Mickey and Minnie. :)

I was just curious how many other girls out there are just having the honeymoon there?

I'm having so much fun planning both :) It's so cute even my FI is getting very excited about both.

Only 6 more months to go......it seems so far away. :(

That would be me. Wedding in Vegas, then a week in Anaheim (gee, think we'll go to Disneyland? :) ), a few days "off" and then we're off to Florida for DCL and WDW.

Me too. Wedding on May 14th - a brunch reception and then it is on to the airport to WDW so we can spend our wedding night at the Boardwalk. For us it is the next best thing to having our wedding at WDW :flower:

We also just did our honeymoon there. It was wonderful! Plus we still got the at-home wedding with all our family and friends.

There are too many people we would "have" to invite wherever the wedding was, so I wanted to have it at home so that more people could come. I'm going to be lucky if there aren't 300 there if I don't tell my dad to stop inviting people...We had too many people for an intimate just with immediate families, and a custom seemed like way more money than I wanted to spend, so we went with the home wedding. We are going for the honeymoon though.

Here Here! We will be disneymooning on the 23 after an Oct 22 wedding! can't wait and after a week in disney we will be going on the Disney Cruise!! I want it to come now.

I'll be honeymooning the first week of October. Now if we could just figure out what we are doing for the wedding =(

while we were married in orlando, we weren't married at WDW. but we did spend our honeymoon there! we had an absolute blast!

We are getting married in Orlando on May 19th at Cypress Grove Park (about 15 miles north of WDW) and we'll be honeymooning at WDW.

A little over a month now! We can't wait!!

Have dreamed of getting married at Disney since I was a little girl. But, more than anything, I wanted my family at my wedding. We have several aspects of Disney in the wedding itself. Beauty and the Beast invitations, Mickey and Minnie cake topper, Mickey pins and charms on flower girl basket, ring bearer pillow, and garter. DH2B writes music and wrote a gorgeous piece for our unity candle lighting. In it he incorporated several pieces from classic Disney pieces.

We leave after the ceremony and reception to go to WDW. :cloud9:

We talked about renewing our vows at the wedding pavilion later in life. I'm just so happy to be marrying my soul mate that not getting married in Disney is not an upset. Honeymooning there in October with so many things going on is going to be AMAZING!!!! princess:

My wedding is in NYC on July 22nd and then I don't get my disney honeymoon until January! Gonna be a long wait!

Myst

I, too, wanted a disney wedding, but we just couldn't justify the cost and our close family is more than they allow at the intimate ceremony... SO we are having a disney themed wedding (even the reception site is disneyish--- it is called FANTASIA!!!) and then we are heading to WDW the next day for our land and sea vacation... I am still a little sad that my dream isn't coming true, but I am happy that I will get to spend my special day with my friends and family.
Only 5 more weeks to go!

We will be getting married in Connecticut and then leaving for WDW early the next morning. I would love to be getting married there too, but considering the size of our families there was no way on earth we could have afforded to do it!! Im just so excited that the day is almost finally here!!! :goodvibes

Wow - 300 people? That's amazing.....I have been freaking out (not good infront of a lot of people) about the 150 that will be at mine. I guess I'm lucky!

Fantasia is one of the places that we checked out - beautiful but some thought it was too far....We are getting married at Villa Bianca in Seymour - not until October - it's killing me I want to be in Disney :)

Wow - you've all made me feel so much better - I thought that my FI and I were the only people that couldn't afford a Disney Wedding. I'm excited about the honeymoon though....we already have many things planned.

Well, we've lived in the same small town...forever. My dad was a school principal before he retired, and that's a pretty political position, so basically we know a lot of people. It's funny how many people we're really close to...Just from being here so long.

We had our wedding in NJ with 250 of our closest family, friends and loved ones.....then we were off on our honeymoon in Punta Cana for 8 days and then WDW for 6 more days! We had a blast!!
We incorporated a Cinderella theme to our wedding at home since we couldnt do the wedding in Disney without people not being able to celebrate with us...it was wonderful. The next best thing to a wedding in WDW is a honeymoon in WDW!
