How many of you use TS credits and CS credits on check out day?

I was just wondering how many of you actually use your credits on check-out day. From what I understand, you can use them up until midnight on the day you check out. Is this risky? I mean, I don't want to lose a TS for sure, a cs would not be that bad. Would I be better off having them used before check out day? I just don't want to risk something happening and I lose them? Any suggestions or comments on this?:confused3

It completely depends on when our flight is. If we have time, DD and I love ending our trip with a nice breakfast somewhere. If not, we use our credits before departure day and grab something quick before leaving. I guess what I'm saying is Yes, we've used credits on our last day. :)

we have used them right up till we left (after we had checked out) we had no problems at all:)

this september i plan to use TS credits on departure day

We always seem to have credits left on our last day. Usually it is snack and counter service credits but last trip it was table service as well. We had no issues using them up before we left.

We drive so we used some of the credits for sandwiches for the way home and used our table service for one last Hurrah at Planet Hollywood.

Where did you get sandwiches to take home? I didn't realize that you could get cs to go? What a great idea!:confused3

Most of the resorts have sandwiches to go. We have gotten them from both Pop and BC Marketplace.

I have to say that they sandwiches at BC marketplace are the best! And you get a bag of chips as a side and they have a good selection of bottled drinks to choose from.

The only limitation is the dessert - we were offered either a big cookie or a dipped rice krispie treat. Still, it was good.

I did that at BC Marketplace, too. It's really nice on the plane, when they come around with just peanuts now, for you to pull out your WDW meal. Sort of nice to take a piece of WDW home (well, at least onto the plane).

I have used them on my check out day(we usually split stays so there might be 2 check out days). I have not had a problem..but I do not physically check out, I do the express check out, I leave a CC on file, I check the bill they give me(I usually request one the night before too) for any final bills, and get our bags out of the room. I know some have had problems, so it is a little worrysome, but I am happy to say we have not.

We had 5 CS and 6 snacks left after we checked out. We went to DTD to Earl of Sandwich and got great CS meals in boxes to go. The only problem is they only let you get fountain drinks - nothing bottled, but the food was great and there was a lot of it.
For the Snack credits, we went to that chocolate place and the other candy store and got Create your own Rice Krispie Treats and some small boxes of Mickey mints and other goodies to take on the road as snacks.
We we moving to another hotel for visits to Seaworld and Discovery Cove and ended up with enough sandwiches for lunch and dinner that day!

We got 3 takeout sandwiches on our way to the airport on the last day after checkout. Due to the new liquid restriction, we were stuck with 3 fountain drinks. I decided to give 2 of the empty cups to people in line waiting to order. Were they surprised and happy that they got free drinks on a hot August day. The cookies and cupcakes are wrapped in plastic so the carry well.

we used our extra snacks to stock up for the rest of our trip, we were going to South Florida for another 10 days - I used snack credits to buy full size bags of chips, boxes of doughnuts everything we needed.

Thank you for all of the wonderful ideas!!! Earl of sandwich sounds great!! We can go there and take it on the road with us! We will have about a 9 hour drive back, so that can be our supper! So I guess nobody has had trouble with their credits once you are checked out? Thanks again!:flower3:

We resort hopped, so on our last trip our "last day" on the dining plan from VWL was our first day at the Poly, no longer on the DDP. We had (for 3 people) 3 TS, 3 CS and 8 snack credits left so we used one CS at Columbia Harbor House and the other two at Earl of Sandwich, 2 snack credits at the MK, and then for dinner we all went to Spoodles to use the TS's and then stopped at the BC Marketplace around 9:30 pm or so and used the rest of the Snack credits to buy gifts/snacks for DS and others to take home to my niece and nephew. We had been told we could use our credits through midnight, and it was nice having all of them left for one day, even though we couldn't use the DDP at the Poly for the remainder of our stay.

We're hopping again on our trip in May, so we have to plan things out well to make sure we make the best use of the plan as we complete one and start another. It's worth it though - so many beautiful resorts, so little time...;)

We always schedule our flight to leave early on the last day of our vacation so we always end our vacation package a day early and then the last night of our trip is a room only reservation at the same resort. Therefore, the day before we leave, we are technically checked out of our room that has the dining plan and park passes, but we are still using our park passes and dining credits through the end of that day because they are still valid. We have never experienced a problem and have never lost credits.
