I was wondering how many people have ever done 3 parks in one day and how it went.

For one day in our Itinerary I have us doing EMH Epcot, break at 12:00 / 3pm AK (catch a couple shows & dinner at Rainforest 6pm)/ After that we wanted to go to MK to see Wishes, parade & do ENight.

A couple of things to note the next day we don't have any plans and we will have a rental car. Traveling is DH,myself, DD4, DD18months & DS15. We also realize that if we are to tired we have and will alter Itinerary.

Thanks

We've done three parks in a day - but it has always been during a week's vacation so we can go back and do whatever we wanted and park hop.

If you only have one day to go to the parks, I would get really organized first so that you do the things that you want to do and the most important first. If you are starting in Epcot, it is the largest park. I would probably either stick to Future World or World Showcase. Plan ahead and pick the exact rides that you have to do and then pick a few things that you could take or leave if time ran out.

We usually get through Animal Kingdom in half a day anyway. There are really just a couple of shows to see there - mainly The Lion King (which is great) and Tarzan Rocks, but they play at various times throughout the day - so get a schedule and plan ahead for which showtime you'll want to attend. You'll also not want to miss A Bug's Life and Kilimanjaro Safari.

The tricky thing about eating at the Rainforest Cafe is not knowing how long you will actually have to wait. It is very popular (me and DH were once there for 3 hours one night between waiting for table, waiting for food, and eating). If you make PS, you'll have a better chance of making it to MK by the end of the night for the fireworks. Its going to take a little planning, but just pick what things you don't want to miss at each park, decide on a time you are going to leave no matter what and stick with it.

I've actually done all 4 parks and the monrail resorts in one day before.

Startted out in DAK- did Tarzan and Dinosaur. Then MGM- lunch at Mama Melrose and ToT. Next was EPCOT- M:S and Figment, and then we went to MK-did Buzz and Philharmagic. Then took the monrail and wandered around all 3 resorts. We started at about 10:30 and ended at around 10 pm.

it was fun but TIRING!!

there's time wasted getting to each park. You can't gain that time back. Also, it seems you do a lot more walking for what you get out of it. You have a tendency of feeling rushed with everything you do. With that said you do have it better with the fact that you are combining it with an e-night. My recommendation would be to catch a nap somewhere in your day. If you are leaving a park anyway, it shouldn't be that much harder to get to your resort for a nap. You will enjoy your e-night much more if you take that nap.

We did all four parks the day before Easter. (We did MK twice)

We started at AK. I wanted to taped FOTLK. While I was there my sister, her family and my son did a few things in Dinoland area. We met up after FOTL, got a ton of autographs then headed to MK. We watched the Share A Dream Come True Parade, got a few snacks then took the ferry over to the TTC. From there we took the monorail to Epcot. At Epcot we rode Mission Space and Space Ship Earth. After that we went back to the room to rest.

That evening we took the bus to MGM to catch the first showing of Fantasmic. After the show we took the bus to the TTC and the monorail to MK to watch Wishes. After Wishes we had dinner at Cosmic Rays, and caught a bit of Spectromagic as we were leaving the park.

It was a long day, but we had a blast.:hyper:

I also park hopped to three parks in one day on the last day of my week's vacation. Started out in the morning with Magic Kingdom, headed over to MGM, and then went to Epcot later...I was pushing my boyfriend to get over to Animal Kingdom, but he was just too tired. I had alot of fun, but it can be tiring. I'm assuming it would be alot harder to park hop with children, but it was just the two of us, and we walk fast!

Many times!

We usually do our favorites at MK, Epcot and MGM on our last day. We also ALWAYS use Disney transportation. The most we ever traveled around, we actually went to Epcot three times! We were staying at the YC and we walked to Epcot for early entry -- went straight to Test Track and rode it twice. Then we caught the boat to MGM, arriving at about the time the park opened. We did ToT, Rock 'n Roller Coaster and another thing or two. At about noon or so, we left MGM and rode the boat to Epcot, where we had lunch at Akershus. After lunch, we watched some World Showcase shows, then returned to the resort about 4 for a swim/rest. Around 7, we walked to Epcot and had dinner at Rose and Crown. After dinner, we rode Spaceship Earth one last time and watched part of Illuminations -- we felt like we had to get ahead of the crowd and we had seen it a couple times already that week. We got the monorail to the TTC, then the MK arriving just in time for e-night. It was a great day!

Wow!! thanks for all the responses.

snowglobegirl, thanks for the advice. We will be at WDW for 10 days, so this won't be the only day that we hit these parks. We also have a PS at Rainforest for 6pm already, so hopefully we won't have to wait 3 hours. In case it does take that long, we have another back up day to see Wishes & the parade.

I'm gonna give it a try. We have about a 3 hour break from 12-3. We're staying at the BWV, so when we leave Epcot that morning, we should get back there fairly quickly.

BTW, we're bringing our double stroller, so DD's won't get to worn out from all the walking.

Thanks again.

I try to look at it this way, you won't regret trying it but you will regret not trying it!! I always get a little sad when I think my plan could have worked and we could be having more fun somewhere else!!:earsgirl:

we've too done all four in one day and we did it with a newbie! :) It was fun although we had use a lot of discretion and hit only the favorites!! :)

We do 3 parks in one day a lot on our trips that are 2 weeks long. We like to do what you are planning by doing a park, AK in the late afternoon and then another park.

AK in late afternoon is really nice and since it closes early you still have time to get a couple of hours in at another park, especially if it is e-night like you are planning.

We always use Disney transportation and seem to get from place to place in a reasonable amount of time.

I think you will be fine doing what you are planning on doing.

I too have done 3 parks in a day in offseason. I've started with AK around 9:00 and rode Safari, Kali RR and Dinosaur then was off to MK around 11:10. At MK close to noon and went directly to PoC and BTMRR. Had lunch at counter service rest. then walked over and got FP for SM then back over to ride HM, then back to Tomorrowland to ride CoP, TTA and wait for Buzz then FP time for SM was up. Walked to Train station in toontown and caught the train to the main station. Walked to Monorail and headed for Epcot (I think it was a bit after 5:00 at this point). Got to Epcot, rode SE, had dinner ressie at Garden Grill, rode TT a few times and then headed over to Norway to ride waterride. Watched Illuminations. We were dead at the end of the day. We didn't ride a lot of rides but walked quite a good amount that day.

Make sure that you get a good nights sleep before and after and take a nice break someplace cool for lunch and dinner.
